Man eidos has been on a role lately.

JellyJelly4589d ago (Edited 4589d ago )

Yeah they've certainly been ACTING differently lol.

Deus Ex is one of the best games this gen and this looks good as hell too. Can't wait to play it.

Gazondaily4589d ago

It does look epic indeed.

I've never played a Hitman game though :S

Cablephish4589d ago

Simply badass.

lol @ the guy at the end, he drunk or something?

Sanii4589d ago

Based off that bong next to him with smoke coming out of it, I think he may have been high.

CBaoth4589d ago (Edited 4589d ago )

had a Brad Pitt from True Romance feel to it.

"Don't be condescending me muthaf%#$er, I'll kill you" - favorite line from the movie as Pitt laid there on the couch AFTER the hitman left.

Cablephish4589d ago

Ah, saw it again, didn't catch it the first time.

Boy do I feel stupid...

OmegaSlayer4589d ago

Dunno, it reminds me Batman Arkham City too much at the moment

Chuk54589d ago

This teaser did give off an arkham city vibe, but I'm sure the full playthrough video will be a different story.

SynysteR4589d ago

Can't wait to watch the uncut playthrough but..
Tell you what tho, I would absolutely love it if they gave us a Classics HD set with Silent Assassin, Contracts & Blood Money remastered.

turgore4589d ago

To be honest you can play them on a PC, but they won't be widescreen (except blood money).

MaideninBlack4589d ago

I see Uncharted has inspired some of the gameplay elements in this.

DeadlyFire4589d ago (Edited 4589d ago )

Third person gameplay of course. haha Does look to have a slight touch, but Third Person to third person is hard to compare really. You already know the camera angle.

Chuk54589d ago

Because you can take people down? and take cover at a corner? Umm, that was down way before uncharted.

MaideninBlack4589d ago

Not the corner part, the part when he grabs the guy from behind. The animation looks similar to Uncharted. My opinion though.

Staude4589d ago (Edited 4589d ago )

@Maideninblack

You naturally realize that you've been able to do that in all the hitman games right? All the way back to the first one for the pc - around year 2000.

If you haven't heard of the hitman games before you should give blood money And 2 a try. They are both great fun :) .. Haven't played the original, but heard that one was great too. Im not much for contracts though.

BlmThug4588d ago

@MaideninBlack I see you only just started gaming as if you started gaming from earlier gens then you would know UC copies a lot of other games and Hitman was made long before UC

humbleopinion4588d ago (Edited 4588d ago )

@MaideninBlack, reading your comment is almost as funny as reading comment about how Uncharted inspired Tomb Raider...

There is nothing really new to Uncharted, and all the mechanics you see in this video (stealth kills, fire from cover, melee finishes, climbing ledges etc) where pretty common to some degree in many stealth games that predated Uncharted: Be it Splinter Cell, MGS, and the Hitman series itself.

Hell, the execution move you noted in 0:40 with the unique "swish" sound is pretty much the trademark of the Hitman series - it's a fibre wire assassination:

How IO turned Hitman around, from Absolution to World of Assassination

When Hitman 3 recently changed its name to Hitman World of Assassination, fans had no idea how meaningful the moment was. On the outside it looked like a simple thing: Hitman 3 would now be known by this name and include levels from Hitman 2 and 3 - the trilogy would all be in one place. But on the inside, at IO Interactive, much more was going on.

You mean destroyed it with this tethered single-player campaign BS... And only the first few levels of the third modern game were on the disc! I'll never support this crap at any price-point! They've lost me as a customer.

Hitman is, and has been, a remarkable series developed by some of the best. Some are better than others, but every Hitman is challenging and fun.

Sure, there have been some stumbles and fumbles, but always in pursuit of the perfect Hitman game. The most recent trilogy is a masterclass in level design.
