Pocket Gamer: Following the release of retro shmup Xevious as a 3D Classic via the eShop, the Classics range has sprouted yet another top-down shooter from the '80s.
You'd be forgiven for thinking that TwinBee was from the same team that created Xevious, as the two games are incredibly similar, both visually and in how they play.
Club Nintendo in the U.S. are offering four free Nintendo eShop and Virtual Console games all at once this month in exchange for Club Nintendo coins. Here’s a list of what they have on offer right now:
3D Classics: TwinBee (3DS eShop) – 150 coins (until Jan 6th)
1080 Snowboarding (Wii VC) – 150 coins (until Jan 6th)
Metroid II: Return of Samus (3DS VC) – 150 coins (until Jan 6th)
Mario Party 2 (Wii VC) – 150 coins (until Jan 6th)
Metroid II: Return of Samus
Damn good game! If anything deserves an HD Remake it's this game right here!
Nan Rymer of RantGaming writes: "Covering the best video games over the past 25 years of my life as a gamer. First up, my picks for the top 10 best video games of 1985."
3D Classics TwinBee is the fourth installment in the 3D Classics Series. It's a classic vertical shooter from Konami that was published back in 1986 (only in Japan).
