It's all about Batman: Arkham City!

grumpysmurf4603d ago

Nice to see a balanced mix of exclusives for once. The PS3 and X360 both get two apiece.

@grumpysmurf
XBOX had 3 listed... and why is it nice to see "balance". One publisher has decided to invest more in exclusive games, so it's not about balance, it's about probability even though this list doesn't reflect the probability.

"It's all about Batman: Arkham City!"

Meh, I'd rather wait for the GOTY edition with all the DLC and pay half the price.

rogimusprime4603d ago

and if everyone did that on the first game, the developers never would've made a sequel. To each his own, i suppose.

madpuppy4603d ago

Ignore the disagrees, man.

That is truly the smart thing to do. I grabbed Batman:AA GOTY for 19.99...and...like you, I intend to do the same with Batman:AC.

Let the fools with money to burn buy all the DLC and take a hit on the (as far as I'm concerned) Overpriced full retail release price.

"and if everyone did that on the first game, the developers never would've made a sequel. To each his own, i suppose."

Or maybe it would pressure devs to put more content in the $60 package instead of making it additional paid DLC. This way theres a greater chance that gamers will pay on Day 1. To each his own I suppose.

"and if everyone did that on the first game, the developers never would've made a sequel."

There is a plus to what you said you know...publishers (especially Activision) would no rely on one or to cash cows that lack innovation every year and focus on providing more fresh and innovative experiences.

Also, maybe publishers will think twice about trying to creep past 70.00 with the games for the next generation of consoles if they see that people are using their heads and refuse to pay the bloated prices they try to get this generation.

for example, look at PC versions of console games they are usually no more than 45.00 and after a few months you can usually get that game through steam on sale for half that much. so the pathetic excuse about how expensive a game costs to make to justify its 60.00+ price is just stupid and an excuse only a fool would swallow.

Rise of Nightmares is must-play? I guess if you're really into Kinect and zombies.

manaxknight14603d ago

hmm...no skyward sword? that should be part of the lineup.

Bolts4603d ago

Dead Island needs to be on this list.

Review - Heading Out (PC) | WayTooManyGames

WTMG's Kyle Nicol: "Heading Out combines genres and styles which might sound incompatible at first glance, but did so in a very interesting manner, resulting in a truly unique roguelike experience. I, for one, really liked the presentation as well, with its slick visuals and soundtrack. It’s not entirely perfect, as the driving could have been more polished, and the pop-in glitches really took me out of the experience at times. That being said, it’s a game unlike any other out there, which wlll definitely keep you engaged through a good few runs."
