Excerpt from Article: "I love Halloween. I don’t give two craps or a shit that I should be “over it” by now. Whether it has benefited me or not, I have built my life around the genres of horror, fantasy, and science fiction. To have an entire month dedicated to stuff like that – oh god, yes. So after a 12 pack of Pabst (No, I’m not a hipster. I genuinely like it. Really.), I decided it would be a real corker to play through as many horror games as possible and present to you what I think (You can’t sue me, RPS. I spelled it differently). Some PC. Some console. Some good. Some not so good. Some only a paragraph or two. Some epic rambles which Courtney Love would be ashamed to put on her blog. All with one common theme – there is blood inside of people, and it must be taken from them and placed upon the walls and floor in bright, garish patterns.
Is this one last desperate gasp to wallow in my blood-soaked youth as I enter the last year of my 20′s? A madman’s venture from which I will never return? Or simply an excuse to drink a ton of beer and play videogames to the detriment of my wife under the guise of “work” and “deadlines”? If you answered “all three”, you know me too well. Beamdog will operate as an independent studio within Aspyr. They are best known for bringing beloved Dungeons & Dragons role-playing games like Baldur’s Gate and Planescape: Torment to desktop, tablets, and modern consoles. The acquisition is subject to regulatory approval and other agreed-upon closing conditions.
Sony has a RPG-making gap in it's studio lineup - it would do well to consider buying Aspyr.
Today Gearbox Entertainment and Embracer Group announced that their merger announced in February 2021 has now been completed.
Next week, PlayStation VR gets yet another dark addition to it’s vast library, with Torn. Torn is a dark science-fiction mystery. Deep in a forgotten forest, video blogger Katherine Patterson discovers an abandoned mansion, filled with strange machines and disturbing experiments.
wow, looks like an interesting game. Love the puzzle solving side to this. Reminds me of Myst in VR.
Not only is this PSVR game out next week, so is Firewall Zero Hour. :)
