Game-Smack Ireland: When people talk about the incredible era of PlayStation 2, there’s plenty of games that have been thrown up as the best game on the system but possibly none have been mentioned as much as ICO and Shadow of The Colossus. So what’s so special about these games? Both these games offer experiences that were not available at the time and to be honest still not available to this day. If there were any early adapters of games are art, both these games would certainly qualify. I never had the pleasure of experiencing these games first time around, but thankfully Sony decided to release these games updated in HD and it is easily the best HD collection available.
YouTube’s ‘reznoire’ has shared three new videos, showing three PS3 exclusive games running on the best Playstation 3 emulator, RPCS3. These three games are The Ico & Shadow of the Colossus Collection, Heavenly Sword and Journey.
Technically Shadow of the Colossus is a PS2 remaster on PS3 but it is interesting seeing the progress made with emulation.

Sotc is easily one of the greatest games ever made. Great job Sony, for this HD remake. It's a game I'll never get tired of.

It was without a doubt definitely worth the $40 and some change-worth that it cost.
This collection is next on my purchase list for the PS3. Back when they were first released, ICO didn't sell no 3 million units in it's first week like Gears 3, nor did Shadow of the Colossus, but the demand that had encouraged Sony to release this compilation show the immense dedication and admiration for these PS2 classic titles from the PS3 gamer community.
Xbox sycophants (or at least anti-Sony fanboys) love to tout the sales of certain Xbox 360 games like Gears 3 as a sign of software superiority, but you know what I have to say to all of those individuals? Let's see if Gears 3 is reissued and remastered in the next generation to the approval of such a devout section of the xbox gaming population as large as the PS3 gaming population shows now to this release. Lets see.
great great games! I got the collection last week, NEVER played the games before, and I finished both games already, not because they are short but because they are incredibly awesome, I could not let go of the controller!!
