Does anybody else see those weird Lighting glitches where the graphics in the distance seem to go dark and flash for a 10th of a second like the lighting is resetting or something?

that seems like it would be annoying.

aside from that all notice at the moment eis lots of screen tear; probrbly just the video encoder.

its shadowing problems when you zoom in...i've seen it in other games...I didn't notice it when he wasn't zoomed in though...but wasn't paying close attention...

and i don't know what to make of the tearing...I too think its something to do with the encoder...i watched an hour or so of both PS3 and 360 footage on twitch yesterday, and saw no abnormal amounts of tearing...but then some other videos, especially that recent German comparison video...where it was tearing every other frame it seemed like...have to wait till tomorrow and see for myself...

either way...the complaints about how 'bad' the consoles look are ridiculous...that looks completely acceptable, and has all the needed effects and destructability to make one hell of a fun multiplayer shooter...

People stop deceiving ur self saying is just a beta. Beta on consoles do not magically jump a lot graphics wise when the game is finally released. Just admit it, u where hyping frostbite2 thinking it will b the best thing on consoles but is not. Its mainly for PC. Killzone2>>>>BF3 on consoles,I'm being kind using KZ2.If I use killzone3 as an example it will b like comparing crysis1 on PC to BF3 on consoles. Fact is no FPS will ever come close on consoles in beating killzone2/3 this Gen in graphics. BF3 is Over hyped. Looks like reality is finally hitting the fanboys. The funny thing is COD that people keep bashing on this site is just moving in silence,u don't hear COD fan boys proclaiming it will b the next God of FPS on consoles. When both is finally out I know where majority of gamers in the real world not the trolls online will b spending most of there time online!!!

I'll get a lot of stick for this but it plays just like BFBC2. Seriously. You have a bit more gun on gun, corridor action but it plays like a buttoned up, better put together BFBC2. Don't know why they're calling Frosbite 2.0 a new engine when it's the evolution of an engine. Save for the animations, which are fantastic, it looks the same as well.

I disagree. Your playing rush, which is a bfbc mode. It should feel the same. Conquest should feel like BF2. But time will tell. The controls btw are fantastic.

on pc u can tell the engine difference very easily. the graphics aren't good at all for consoles (not to mention the screen tearing).

No offense but I disagree about it being like bfbc2 just because the character models are the same doesn't make it the same.it plays very different to the way movements are, recoil ,more team based ,bigger maps,smoother gameplay ect.The one thing I will agree is that he graphics aren't hot shit at all like dice claimed it was going to be.Don't get me wrong the graphics are much better the bfbc2 but not as good as KZ, Uncharted and even a lot of parts of Resistance 3 looks more stunning the BF3.I will say that I am enjoying the beta very much if that's what you call a beta.I really hope they do fix a lot of the bugs because they can be very annoying especially when you go prone and I end up under the map every time.I do have to give Dice credit for giving us a sweet product and I can only imagine what the final product will turn out.

I agree man, going into the BF3 beta after playing hundreds of hours in BC2 was a quite a change. sure the button layout is the same, but the balence in the beta is a little off. It plays way more similar to MOH than a bad company/battlefield to me. which put me a little off, but today hopefully I can put in some more time and get used to it. I really don't want this to end up like MOH how I get tired of its MP after a week and went back to BC2.

I was also taken by surprise when I jumped in bf3 thinking I'd be right at home. I really didn't know what to do first besides arm an m-com. I'm sure most of the glitches will be patched, and post support should fix the rest if there's any left. I'm loving the beta btw.
