RIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT.
Just a person looking for hits, which we all see through.
So, nothing to see here.

Unwinnable indeed, because its just full of stupid.

Rating a game with pies. Good for them.

Nice job spelling "colossus" correctly. Looks like the N4G article writer is even dumber.

knifefight4612d ago

I disagree with you because I think seeing the polarizing effects of the very rare game that can be considered art. Shadow of the Colossus and ICO are two such games, and everyone views art differently.

"Shadow of the Colossus can essentially be described as a platform jumper that fills part of its gameplay with an element of the sandbox genre. And by singular element, I literally mean just a horse to ride with nowhere to go.

"I got on my horse with no name and rode to the edge of the map and eventually found a tree. That was cool. I looked out over a cliff and it was pretty and such, but there are no random encounters, no side quests – sure, you can kill some tiny lizards and shoot some fruit in a tree, but that doesn’t really qualify as extra."

Horse with "no name." Wow.

"Nowhere to go," amazing.

See I think this stuff is great because I'm always trying to better understand how many different ways there are to see something.

I learned something today.

Horse with no name? Did he not notice the character saying "Agro" every time you press the "call horse" button? Did it not occur to him that this might be the horse's name? Ridiculous review by a terrible writer.

SilentNegotiator4612d ago (Edited 4612d ago )

@callahan

lol, the reviewer must have been listening to "America" ["A Horse with No Name"] while playing and got confused.

Azmacna4612d ago

what an idiot. 1 pie for a masterpiece just because he's probably a spotty face nerd who gets off on pretending he's an adult by shooting enemies in a FPS. i hate the way this industry has gone and long for the giddy heights of yesteryear. if anyone wants to see why so many people bought into the Sony brand then look no further, iCO and SOTC are what ALL gaming should be about.

Ramas4612d ago

all gaming really? they are not bad, but there is many other games that are better.

trouble_bubble4612d ago

Stay in school kids, or you could end up writing for no-name garbage websites like this.

japanesedudegirl4612d ago

Ico was a boring game then as it is now.

Knushwood Butt4612d ago

At least with ICO you have something to do at pretty much every step of the way.

With SotC, you have a whole lot of horse riding.

Horse riding hurts my nuts.

A good number of these games are pretty well-known in the gaming community. I don't know who this 'no one' is, but they might not have been a gamer during the time of the PS2. ICO? The Warriors? BULLY?!? C'mon now.

FullmetalRoyale311d ago

Certainly not as interesting as a spoon controversy, right?

Not one of these is pretty "forgotten". But what you can forget are bad lists that need 15 clicks.

Terry_B312d ago

edit..why the fuck was this shit approved by 2 guys after all?

luckytrouble311d ago

Because the approval system is fundamentally flawed. The amount shouldn't decrease for approval over time, nobody should be able to have more than one vote, and pending content should be more visible so those measures don't feel necessary to push through less immediately popular pieces.

The number of ways this system can be intentionally or accidentally abused so crap like this can get through has been ridiculous for ages now.

Petebloodyonion313d ago

The title is misleading, it should be 15 best ps2 that you always ignored (hence the title of the video).
These games are not unknow but often left out when talking PS2 great game.
The warrior is a great game but let's be frank just mention it in a discussion amongs friends and half the crowd will go " OMG I forgot about that! "

Christopher311d ago

I think that's just a factor of time. Most movies from the 80s/90s that are great are like that with me as well. They're still great, just been so much between now and then that you can't keep it all at the forefront of your mind.

banger88312d ago

15 games on 15 pages? F*** that. I'll save you a click:

The Thing
Virtua Fighter 4: Evolution
Deus Ex: The Conspiracy
Fatal Frame 2: Crimson Butterfly
Twisted Metal Black
ICO
Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy
Transformers
Silent Hill 4: The Room
Red Dead Revolver
War of the Monsters
XIII
Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction
The Warriors
Bully

Agreed. Some heroes put on their pants one leg at a time like the rest of us. Thank you.

MrNinosan311d ago

I remember and know all the game exceot War of the Monsters...
But maybe my name is "no one"

Phoenix76311d ago

Last time I checked (a year ago) War of the Monsters was available to buy as a ps2 classic on the ps store. Know I've still got my disc copy and fairly sure it's in my digital library

This video game journalist must not know any gamers, not be on any gaming sites, and is probably young only know of these games because of an older sibling.

None of those games are forgotten and most are spoken of fondly fairly often.

Very special game! I still have the limited edition. The artstyle of Team ICO is very distinct. https://www.videogameshelf....

This was a fun look at Ico. So hard to believe it's been 20 years already. Where does time go?
