"Modern Warfare 2's Special Ops modes required 69 stars (23 levels' worth) for 100% completion. Whereas Modern Warfare 3's 48 stars leads us to believe it contains only 16 Special Ops levels.
Activision has gone on the record to state that subscribers to its premium Call of Duty Elite service will receive new in-game content each and every month which lends credibility to speculation that it's stripped out game content in order to then later sell you it as premium DLC."
The developers have provided a little band-aid while PlayStation players attempt to get back into MW3.
Recently, players of Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone were met with a new bundle featuring the B.E.A.S.T. Glove, inspired by King Kong's armament in the Godzilla x Kong movie. However, the $80 price tag attached to this themed accessory left many Call of Duty fans feeling underwhelmed.
Morons that allow themselves to be milked continuously by this company is the definition of irony.
Spend more $$ and you'll end up In easier lobbies so you win both ways when ya spend that cash
Controversy in the COD community feels like it happens within an alternate timeline. Activision will take the piss with something, there will be a momentary fuss about it, and then they will forget about it and carry on anyway. Repeat this cycle literally every year for the rest of time.
I'm so tired of hearing about what they're doing with this game, its never going to change and it's never going to value the consumer over money, furthermore the people who engage so heavily in the microtransactions I guess allegedly are having a blast and can't wait to do it some more this year when the new version of the game drops.
The famous comedy duo is the latest example of pop culture becoming one big grey blob
Certain to have some sort of reference to their online store for CBD/THC chews, which is advertising heavily online the last month or two.
The randomness of the multiplayer characters is one of reason I quit playing COD after briefly returning in 2022. We got Space Marines, rappers, tree monsters etc. all in a series called “ Modern Warfare”.
... It's Activision. They'd do anything for money. They're evil!
Well Duuuuuuh!
I'm shocked they haven't just sold gamers a empty box for $60 and said the game will be another $60 in DLC!
Do people even need to ask? i took a look at the Blackops DLC on PSN yesterday just to see how much all the DLC cost and surprise surprised $60 total for every single map pack.
If that isn't greed i don't know what is and why wouldn't Activision leave out content if its selling for such a premium price individually.
It does sound that way but mw3 still prob has more content than every other shooter. We get a survival mode where you can play on every multiplayer map, spec ops, and more maps than other games. They couldve sold the survival mode as dlc or had one map per map pack like zombies. COD has dlc because its so popoular, new maps keep people interested. In a smaller community like kz3 or homefront it can split the community but in massive games it keeps it going plus you dont need it. I can still find matches in mw and waw without the dlc so its for the hardcore players who get burned out on 14 maps in 3 months because its all they play. I dont like dlc id rather it be in the game but if they make it after and its not necessary to have why not? Only gripe i have is how its 15 bucks, should be 10 MAX.
If anyone is unsure about how much contents are moved to Elite subscription, don't rush to buy MW3 immediately. Plus if you wait, the online multiplayer will be more patched by then. Somehow there will be plenty of gamers who just can't wait and then complain about it later.
