Top 3 sees MW3 vs BF3 vs Skyrim and Halo Anniversary Overtakes Uncharted 3

Looks like US PS3 users don't support Uncharted 3 as much Xbox users did for Gears of War 3. Did great games (and lot of exclusives ones) released all this year can affect the sell of such blockbuster on PS3 ?
At least it's gonna sell well, but i thought it could do much better.
I've already preordered mine anyway.

Well you realize in the US (where these numbers are coming from) there are something like 33m 360's to 21m PS3's? So yeah pre-orders for 360 games are generally going to be higher here except certain games e.g FIFA which always sell better on PS3.

It does ot matter if its 33m 360's to 21m PS3's. The fact is sony exclusives just cannot sell as much as sony would hope even if there life depends on it. EDIT@Below.. Look at resistance 3 sales,killzone2/3 sales,little big planet, E.T.C...Those games don't have the top sells AAA title is supposed to have. Don't console ur self wiv GT5. Fact is majority of Sony exclusives don't sell as high as is expected to sell.U may say selling 2Million is great and I think is great but Shooters like Killzone,Resistance should b pushing 5million because it has AAA status and. Don't forget killzone was hyped as the shooter to bring majority of 360 owners to the PS3.Sony is simply crap at marketing games.

GT5 is nearing 7 million which isn't too bad. And the only games that sell well on 360 are Gears, Halo, COD. Other games that are non shooters like Alan Wake, Catherine and the like sell like shite on 360.

Gran Turismo 5 is going to be a year old in late November and it's still selling for $60 new from the like of Gamestop, Best Buy, etc. Sales nearing 7 million and likely hitting 10 million in the near future, I think it's safe to say Sony sell their exclusives fairly well.

I think we should all keep in mind that the 360 has a 10 million+ lead over the Ps3 in NA, hence the big difference between the two. Let's avoid fanboyism.

Why do PS3 owners show little support for Uncharted 3 its the Most Hyped game when it comes to HYPE and yet Pre-Orders are ridiculous.

Because in the US where these numbers are tracked, 360 has a substantial lead.

360: 33m units
PS3: 21m

You have to also consider a lot of other big name titles are being released around the same time. MW3, BF3, Batman: Arkham City, Skyrim. With a more diverse gaming demographic, you wont find everyone preordering the same game like on the XBox 360 where shooters dominate the preorder figures.

Oh really stan?? Because the x360 versions of MW3, BF3, Arkhum City, Assassin's Creed Revelation, Mass Effect 3 and Skyrim are pre-selling more than their PS3 counterparts. . .Rage too

Look at MW3, Battle Field 3 (surprise), skyrim and Batman. They have huge numbers on 360. The numbers for Skyrim are especially telling, as they more than double the PS3 numbers. This is why M$ can make some demands for perks from 3rd party. It is all about the numbers.

Although a high preorder number is great, it doesn't necessarily mean the game is not going to sell well. Look at Dead Island. It didn't have high presale numbers and it did very well. Uncharted will do fine as well as all the other heavy hitters out there. Everyone doesn't preorder games as it really isn't needed anymore. Will Uncharted do Gears or Duty numbers, no, but it will still sell well. It does deserve those numbers, in my opinion, but that's another story.

It just seems now days that if a game doesn't sell millions in it's first week than people write it off as a failure. That's today's mindset of some gamers. Oh well, I will be enjoying as many games as my wallet allows. Play games and not sells...I'm out

First, these are made up numbers.
Second, from MY experience PS3 owners do not feel the need to preorder much. Almost everyone I know do not preorder games unless there's a real incentive to do so but we all buy a lot of games.

preorder include bonuses, and those bonuses can't satisfy all people
I have friends who will get Uncharted day 1 but are not preordering.
Battlefield is a MUST PREORDER because of the great free map pack you get.

or maybe because some ps3 owners ( not the diehard fans you get on sites like this ) are just not as interested in uncharted 3 as some people would like us to believe.

there are lots of great games out this year and even though I own a ps3 the rest of this year my money is going towards multiplat games.

it's just a thought though. apart from all the multiplats I can't think of anything else that would eat into it's sales.

that's just me though.
