TSJ: Most games based on other media (comics, movies, TV shows, celebrities, soft-drink mascots) have just plain sucked. The plots didn’t translate well to stages, leveling up and multiple pointless enemies, and the systems weren’t advanced enough to truly tell the story the way the franchise demands.
Until now. Today’s systems are more powerful than a rabid chimpanzee, and the writers are smarter, having grown up as fans of the shows and movies they are now commissioned to base games upon. After years of electronic vomit, fans have finally been rewarded with well-written, intelligent, and fun-to-play games based on media such as The X-Men and The Simpsons.
It’s time to do the same with these seven franchises.
It's been relatively easy to collect for Sega Genesis/Mega Drive because game prices have stayed quite low compared to other retro consoles. But the recent retro explosion is even affecting this market now. Here's a list of Genesis/MD games that you may want to grab before they get any more expensive.
Aww man. I forgot about Boogerman. And the McDonald’s game. Me, my sister, and a lot of my cousins put countless hours into that one.
I have Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Hyperstone Heist, complete. It's awesome and I've beaten it so many times.
Just in time for Halloween, all manner of horror descends onto PS Now today. Fight for your life in the post-apocalyptic open world frontier of Days Gone. Embody the undead hero of Sir Dan Fortesque as you fight to bring peace back to your village. Outwit one of cinema’s most iconic boogeymen in multiplayer Friday the 13th. Buddy up for some medieval puzzle platforming work in Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince and tackle Double Fine Productions’ own brand of roguelike in the wastelands of Rad.
I knew they would have to add Medievil for October on either Ps plus or Ps Now ! Glad i waited.
I bought medieval earlier this year when it was on sale for 20. And after the game being out for 20 years I finally beat it and I loved it.
I’ve learned that not all games are meant to be beat right away. But, it’s always nice to have options.
Thanks to video games, we have the opportunity to play as these fiends or face them in a setting where we have control. And an infinite number of lives. On the big screen, these slasher greats terrify us with their relentlessness. As it turns out, most of them are equally as horrifying when digitized and on a smaller display.
As the moon shines bright and a steady wind blows, kick back and play any of these 8 games that put your favorite slasher icons in the spotlight.
Family guy...
The game that came out wasn't as good since it was basicaly chapter based, how about a game like the Simpsons hit and run where it's a massive open world map of Quahog. You could unlock skins, weapons and vehicles like the hindenpeter, the brain dead horse or even that Dragon Peter rides where he's like "YEAH"...."Wher e going down Buddy"...."YEAH" ;.
With it being Family guy I'm sure you could come up with some crazy plot that would set the games events in motion. Like South Park theres so much to do with Family guy
I enjoyed a few of the South Park games. South Park Rally, South Park 64 and the tower defense one was pretty decent. Nothing great by any means but decent.
Haha, I always thought Tom and Jerry would make a good game when I watched it when I was little.
How about Aliens? (I don't mean AvP, just Aliens itself).
I thoroughly enjoyed South Park 64 and South Park Rally. They were so much fun.
