Anyone who played and beat Dead Space 2 knows that there will be a third one, it's just a matter of when. I for one can not wait to crap my pants some more ;)

See I thought DS2 had a lot of closure. I wouldn't mind seeing a 3rd one though. Things can go in any direction now, and I thought DeadSpace 2 was probably on of the best single player experiences this year. Very underrated if you ask me. From beginning to end, this game was flawless. Even the final showdown was insanely fun and totally worth the purchase of this scary ass game.

@gogospeedracer.

DeadSpace 2 was outstanding. Visually stunning, and very action oriented. There are tons of scary sceneaios but at the same time the puzzles are great, the zero gravity is nearly flawless. The gameplay is a lot more dynamic. The online sucks ass though. I wish they had a horde mode though. PvP battles are just lame.

closure....

<spoilers>

DS2 opened up the story even more at the end with the the Overseer stating that Titan was just home to Marker 12...when he found out it had been detroyed he replies that the other sites will then have to "pick up the pieces”.

I think Issac will go through what Ripley went through in the Alien films. Ready to fight them since he knows he's the only one that can stop them.

Hopefully it will go back to it's horror roots. They kind of did what RE5 did, although not as bad. With all the action put into it there were only cheap scares and not the scary atmosphere from the first game (I mean how can you with all the bright lights from the shopping areas and appartments). That's why returning to the Ishimura was the best chapter in the game.

They better not add co-op though like make P2 play as Elle.

.........MAJOR SPOILER IF YOU HAVEN'T PLAYED DEAD SPACE 2 SEVERD (DLC) YET.

So in the DLC Lexine Weller is immune to the marker effects and the Oracles came to take her away and that they used Gabe in the begging to get Lexine pregnant because she is a "KEY SUBJECT" in the end Gabe Weller sacrifaced himself for Lexine so now she is floating in space in a ship waiting. "END SPOILER" They have to tie Lexine in the story in Dead Space 3

How was Dead Space 2? I never got around to playing it. Heck, I didn't even finish 1. Too scary!

Before you judge me, you try playing this on a 7.1 surround system! Christ!

Hockeydud194620d ago

P@!@$!...no i'm jk lol. I played the entire game with my Turtle Beach headset on. Never doing that again lol!

DigitalAnalog4620d ago (Edited 4620d ago )

But I do with a 5.1 speaker. It had a lot jump scares but I didn't find DS scary, just fun and thrilling. You being able to purchase all these weapons made the game less "survival" based.

DS2 had a much better gameplay and story but it was also very "action" based which killed the horror aspect of the game.. to me at least.

DS2 was amazing. didn't think there was much room for growth over the first but boy was i wrong. i still play it from time to time.

Undeadwolfy4620d ago (Edited 4620d ago )

I always play games through on hardest difficulty. I bought DS2 the day it came out to support developers and Dead Space 1 used. Im stuck on this bit where your in a room where all exits become locked and those regenerating necromorphs come after you. Anyone know the best way to get past it? I dont want to start again on a weaker difficulty cos im already really far, like over half way through. Its frustrating. Havent even started DS2 yet.

DigitalAnalog4620d ago (Edited 4620d ago )

I'm guessing this is the satellite area. You need to find a room to unlock all the doors via a puzzle or something. You need to shoot dismember their legs to slow them down and use stasis before they regenerate, this is to delay them even further (if you have statis upgraded to last longer it is more recommended). Once you find a way to open the doors, just keep running and don't be stingy on stasis.

The problem with this game is that if you try to balance your weapon upgrades, you're pretty much screwed (especially in the hard difficulties). You should have a weapon that at least have the best damage upgrade available to handle the more "tricky" enemies.

No it's dead space 8, they just didn't have the time to draw in the other half.

Jokes aside, this is awesome news if true.

Why Dead Space 3 Will Be the Hardest to Remake

If EA and Motive Studio plan on remaking all the main Dead Space entries, they have to change a lot of what made Dead Space 3 so divisive.

Simple, do not bother with a Dead Space 3 remake. Rather have a new entry for Dead Space.

myfathersbastard434d ago

Yeah I agree. Make a dead space 3, but have an original story/setting. They’ve proven they can do the game justice, and I think they could evolve 2 in a good direction, keeping a similar tone. I’d love s Dead Space 2 and 3 though. The remake was fantastic. Top tier remake, up there with RE2.

jznrpg434d ago

Remaking 3 would need to be a reworked and somewhat changed remake as 3 was flawed in most peoples eyes and the worst entry.

Ninver434d ago

It's the worst in the series.

Dead Space 3, A Ten Year Reunion

WTMG's Kyle Nicol:

"Was Dead Space 3 really that bad?

Well, it’s a complicated question. Dead Space 3 is undeniably the weakest of the trilogy. It’s a game that deviates so far from the original formula, that it throws a lot of what made Dead Space special in the first place out of the window. Although, where it does make up for it is one of the best cooperative shooters on the market, even after all this time. Do I recommend playing this game ten years later? Hell yes. But make sure your expectations are in the right place. It has a lot of problems that bring it down."

They need to seriously continue this ip with a new entry. Even if it's just another movie I don't care I love everything about this game.
