It's all about Battlefield 3 for me!

Yi-Long4607d ago

... as well as FIFA 12 and Battlefield.

I'm a bit worried about all the DLC announcements for Arkham City though, so I might wait for a price-drop or GOTY-edition.

fluffydelusions4607d ago

FIFA 12 comes out this month :)

Yi-Long4607d ago

... only 12 more days orso :) Awesome :)

fluffydelusions4607d ago

^^ 9 if you're in the US :)

Yi-Long4607d ago

... but sadly I live in Holland. ;)

TheFreak4607d ago (Edited 4607d ago )

Why is fifa releasing first in the us?

fluffydelusions4607d ago

^^ Yeah kind of odd given it's the least popular sport here but I won't complain cause I like it :)

Sunhammer4607d ago (Edited 4607d ago )

I see no further reason to buy Arkham City on day one when the developers themselves have already spoiled the entire game.

Uncharted 3, Skyrim, and Battlefield 3 is all I really NEED for the rest of the year, but if Rage ends up good, I'll bite into that as well.

Arkham City will be a nice rent, thanks Rocksteady.

I also hear Dark Souls has been massively compressed since it's multiplatform reveal. Something about it not even exceeding 6 gigs on either console. So much for the perfect sequel.

with my 2nd video card for my SLI setup i got a free copy of Batman:AC. woohoo!! i really liked the first one.

MsclMexican4606d ago

Arkham city all the way

IM BATMAN.......

DragonKnight4606d ago

@Sunhammer: The Demon's/Dark Souls games aren't about graphics. When you don't need memory hogging CG cutscenes and aren't trying to cater to the graphics whores of this gen, you don't need 50GB.

Michael-Jackson4606d ago

The time you wait for the GOTY edition of Arkham City equals the release of Fifa 13.

Just sayin.

Ace Combat over dance central 2? Hmm lets see which sells more shall we? Battlefield and Arkham for me was a tough month with a lot of games also got Dance Star party and Dance Central 2. Who says you cannot enjoy Hardcore and Casual games?

Also November gonna be the worst month for gamers wallets so far I think.. December as usual will be empty..

showtimefolks4606d ago

time is the issue with work and all its hard to find time to play games. I also have a huge back catalog so i may pass on both and wait for a price drop.

dues ex was selling for 34.99 last week, so buying games at launch is not smart thing for me personally. too many sales happen within first few weeks of launch.

2 concerns for me about batman 2,rage is how long each single player is. I am more of SP gamer, i would like to play MP but single player is the reason i will buy both games.

rage i think is 15-20hrs long
batman 1 was about 10hrs long and 2 has seem to add so much stuff it should be also 15-20 hrs long. But if adding more times mean story gets boring than i rather have 10hr of fun single player than 20hr of boring one.

too many games too little time.

batman 2
rage
ratchet all 4 one
resistance 3
dead island
uncharted
bodycount(when its under 15)
uncharted 3
saints row 3
dues ex
driver san fransisco(when its under 15)

are all the games i have to get most will not be at launch

MsclMexican4606d ago

Dude batmans single player is 40 hours long, thats not including challenge maps, new game plus or any of the other content included on disc

showtimefolks4606d ago (Edited 4606d ago )

i don't believe that. but like i said just because its longer won't automatically means it will be good. I rather get 10-15hrs of great story than 40hrs of boring one

i just gogoled the devs said 20-25hrs which is great. I hope this time the game is more open with everything.

can't wait to get it whenever i do

Brownghost4606d ago

Batmans single player is 40 hours with side quests, it's 25 just for the main story

BeOneWithTheGun4606d ago

Anyone hear if Dark Souls is a port from one system to the next or is there a specific console it is built for? I would assume the PS3 is lead but am now hearing it might be really compressed?????????

RAGE looks like a corker of a title. Not sure I'll be buying any games for a while now, money would also probably be on BF3 for mutliplayer and co-op.

fluffydelusions4607d ago

Yeah, I'll wait on some reviews for rage.

AAWELLS094607d ago

Im completely confident that Rage will be a stellar game no worries here its a day one for me. Ill say it now reviews will most likely be all 9/10. Everything about the game is top notch. Youll see i bet ya :)

rabidpancakeburglar4606d ago

aawells
Reviewers will always find faults with games whether it be story, bugs or gameplay so not everything will be top notch. That said I expect between 85 and 91 on metacritic from it.

Ocean4607d ago

Mmmmmm Ace Combat, Arkham City and Battlefield 3.....should keep me busy for a long time

caseh4606d ago

Just played the Ace Combat demo and come away pleasantly satisfied.

I think majority of people will leave this until it drops in price though. A few months earlier and it would probably do a lot better in sales.

Brownghost4606d ago

Just played demo was amazing, screw Tom clancy

FEARprototype4607d ago

dark souls keep hunting my dream :[

Dowie4607d ago

Oh Dark Souls...come and be mine.

Rage, battlefield 3 and arkham city will have to wait unfortunately. I won't have any time when I have dark souls.

The prevalence of parrying: Why is it so popular?

Parrying has been creeping into more games, with almost every high-profile title of the last few years featuring it in some way.  Why?

i understand the authors frustration i'm not the best at parrying in games. not that i can't complete a game that requires it but it is a definite harder thing for me than other kinds of techniques in games. which might be the main reason it's so heavily added in games nowadays. want to make your game challenging without having to do a lot of work? just add a parry boss. (what i mean by parry boss is a boss you have to beat by parrying such that their attacks will kill you otherwise)

Dudeson37d ago (Edited 37d ago )

I always think it's fine as long as such games also have the roll/dodge panic button. But I understand the will to parry, it seems so cinematic in a fight when you pull it off.
