SEGA has today released a new trailer for the upcoming title, Sonic Generations.
Sonic the Hedgehog has a long and turbulent history in videogames, but which are the best games featuring the blue bur?
Generations over Mania? Please… Generations doesnt have any new ideas in the levels/bosses.
Also a top 7 of Sonic games shouldn’t have any 3D crap and contain at least one of the 8-bit titles.
Sonic CD getting snubbed is weird. Number 1 is definitely interchangable between Sonic 2 and Sonic 3 & Knuckles.
Top 7 for me
7 cd
6 mania
5 Frontiers
4 sonic 3
3 sonic 1
2 sonic and knuckles
1 sonic 2
Sometimes I feel like the Sonic Advanced games just didn’t exist with how much it’s always forgotten 😭
The divide between both iterations of Sonic is now reaching spin-off territory, and the way Sega is handling it is both a blessing and a curse.
BLG writes: "With the success of the films and the promise of Frontiers, it’s possible that we’re ushering in a new golden age of Sonic the Hedgehog. While Sega is looking forward, the company is also looking back. It’s giving us Sonic Origins, a retooled collection of Genesis classics. However, this package fails to provoke a burning question: what’s the best Sonic handheld game?"
Adding a Genesis or a Dreamcast with a Sonic design to the pack would be great to. This bundle looks nice.
Have they actually said yet where you can get the Collectors edition. I think theres one at Amazon but I'd rather get it at GAME
It's available at most New Zealand, Australian and European retailers. Game, EBGames, Mighty Ape, Amazon, JB Hifi to name a few. There is no Collectors Edition announced for America yet, and with each passing week getting closer to release it's looking less and less likely. Apparently the Sonic franchise sells better in the PAL territories, hence all the Collectors Editions of the past Sonic games we have received that America hasn't. Sorry guys, I feel for you, but like you kindly point out to us when we don't get a game or edition of something, PS3 is not region locked, you can always import :)
