There remains hope for a future return to the Mirror's Edge franchise despite the growing importance of the Battlefield franchise for DICE and EA, DICE general manager Karl-Magnus Troedsson has told VideoGamer.com.
Asked if any DICE developed Mirror's Edge title was dead given that Battlefield has become so huge, Troedsson said: "I would actually say it's the other way around. DICE was founded on the success of Battlefield, but it's part of our DNA, part of our strategy moving forward as a studio, that we don't just want to build Battlefield.
It seems that in Season 4, DICE has snuck in a Battlefield 2042 Mirror's Edge Easter egg in the new Flashpoint map.
Halo veteran Marcus Lehto's studio, Ridgeline, will now be joined by DICE on the project.
GF365: "There are some games with extraordinary visuals that impress us to this day. Here are old games with outstanding graphics."
I always thought the first 3 Gears of War games looked great and still hold up for today.
Far Cry 2 was awesome. In addition to having demonstrably better physics and AI than later games in the series, it had a lot of design decisions that, criticized at the time, have since been praised in games like BOTW and Dark Souls.
It might not be super amazing by today's standard but I thought Mgs3 looked really good
Sweet! Loved the original. Hopefully they will correct the snags of the first game and have a more engaging story(without 2D cutscenes).
It could be such a great game!
Do it. For the love of God just DO IT!
YES! I can't wait!! Absolutely LOVED the first, they'd better make the sequel awesome.
They should think about making the sequel open world. Wouldn't that be awesome?
I remember playing the game thinking to my self, finally a breath of fresh air! Excellent game if you haven't tried it already. It can use some work here and there but overall a solid game.
