First, XNA was never in Windows. It is a Visual Studio add-on. Second, I am at the BUILD (Win8) conference and it seems that MS is building the XNA tools right into Visual Studio so why would they need a separate product?

XNA is independent of Windows so I wouldn't see why they would stop supporting XNA. Instead, if anything MS will unify all the tools.

In fact, Windows 8 under the hood is compatible with Windows 7 and so on. The Metro UI is just a fancy layer on top that's built into the core.
