Aliens: Colonial Marines Preview [PAX Prime 2011] | ShogunGamer.com

Ian Fisher writes: As grim as things may have seemed for Aliens: Colonial Marines, the game is all but back on track as of now. Having made a triumphant return at E3 2011, Aliens: Colonial Marines showed a lot of promise since the fandom Gearbox has for the franchise is apparent in every dark xenomorph infested inch of LV-426. Going into PAX Prime this year I was aware that Aliens: Colonial Marines was going to be at the show but really didn’t think much of it as it was simply the E3 demo made available for gamers eager enough to wait in line for forty-five minutes. But after talking to one fine chap at Sega, I learned that the PAX Prime presentation of Aliens: Colonial Marines came with a small bonus: three extra minutes of footage put together by Gearbox just for the event. Being an eager fan of the Aliens franchise I decided three minutes of footage was worthy of my time thus I made a casual stroll over to Sega’s booth to enjoy some more xenomorph bloodshed.

Shame about Creative Assembly, they should have just been allowed to do an Alien Isolation sequel.

just_looken50d ago

It was that garbage coh 3 that did them in only a special team can make a sequel worse in every way even though it was a 10 year gap and the same era.

gold_drake51d ago

I hope they find new jobs in the industry soon.

Two Point Studios and Sports Interactive probably run on a shoe string budget so that fits into SEGA better lol
