WWE '12 Developer Blog: Predator Technology

What's the WWE '12 "Predator Technology" difference? Feast your eyes on this.

Lazy_Sunday4633d ago (Edited 4633d ago )

There isn't much a difference. In fact, it looks like there was more depth and shine in the previous then in the '12 version.

idk i think the svr'11 pics looks blurry. but i dont remember the game looking like that. maybe they just messed the old ones up so it looks like they did a lot more work.

Lazy_Sunday4633d ago (Edited 4633d ago )

They also decreased the contrast, but unfortunately for this Dev blog, it's not hard to tell.

Man In Black4633d ago

They blatantly messed with the pics from last year. Sneaky fucks.

DlocDaBudSmoka4633d ago

anyone else think its retarded that the "new" engine is referred to as predator technology. since in WWE they refer to Orton as the apex predator, and hes on the cover. anyway on topic now. idk if they think we are completely blind as to what they did, but there is a definite difference between the pics. But what they dont realize is gaming is our thing. We will be able to tell if shots were messed with. the only thing different i see is the color to cena(nuff) clothing and Orton has his hair and joe dirt beard.

I'm more concerned about the changes on gameplay. I hope it'll be a true WWE simulation this time.

Are Wrestling Games Getting Worse?

Some of you may know that the latest instalment in the WWE gaming franchise 2K20 was released late last year to generally poor reviews. Some of this was based on graphical issues, but mostly it was due to the many glitches and bugs found – many of which are hilarious to witness.

Fire Pro needs more love. The last PS4 title gets regular playtime from me.

I hear that there are financial troubles at the studio, but I'm hopeful for a Switch port one of these days.

Anyone remember Giant Gram Wrestling on the Dreamcast .....

Rambokind1575d ago

Ah hell yes! That was loads of fun.

Acecalibur1575d ago

Fire Pro just gets better. Buy it.

micdagoat191575d ago

I have Fire Pro for PS4 and PC but it seems more of like a Sim creator rather than people actually playing out matches. I still dont like anything as much as the N64 games

Golden Era of wrestling games in the Golden Era of wrestling. I've been contemplating going back and getting a N64 and getting those classic's
WWF Wrestlemania 2000
WWF No Mercy
WCW vs. nWo Revenge

micdagoat191572d ago

Yeah its the only wrestling games I still play consistently for fun.

TheTony3161575d ago

Yes. The last great wrestling game was svr 2006.

addictedtochaos1575d ago

Yes, the WWE ones at least. The last good one was 2K14 and the last great one was Here Comes the Pain.

6 Abominations Brought to Life by These Games' Character Creators

If Dr Frankenstein were alive today and also not fictional, he wouldn't need to faff around building a creature out of dead bodies then trudge around the Arctic trying to kill it - not when these videogame character creators exist. Just look at the unnatural horrors he could have cooked up in WWE '12, Spore, Saints Row 4, Soul Calibur 5, NBA 2K15 and The Sims 4.

Good comparison, they've got worse with age.

Thrillho3467d ago

Many of the old animations look better than the new ones especially the Sweet Chin Music and Goldberg's spear. The 2K14 Clothesline from Hell looks awesome though.
