House of the Dead: Overkill (PS3) Preview | Pax Prime 2011

If there is a single game at PAX that everyone should know exactly what to expect of, it’s House of the Dead: Overkill. Going through the history of the House of the Dead series, changing gameplay dynamics isn’t really a thing they do. But, you know what? It doesn’t matter because this game was awesome.

This is the only game that makes me want to buy the Move.
Had such a blast with it on Wii.

i've wanted this game for so long. like back in the genesis/snes days. glad its finally coming. dont have the WII so i def cant wait.

This is the best rail shooter ever made. i owned the Wii version

Graphics are sick, the story is f**ked up, the characters are funny as all hell, the violence is gruesome, the music is some of the best music in any game, the grindhouse set up is wickedly awesome. I love this game to death, plus with all the added features the PS3 version is nothing short of a perfect railshooter game.

That Sonic face never fails to make me laugh 😂

Garethvk179d ago

How many times did they have to redo it due to dan reactions?

Knightofelemia179d ago

I have yet to check out the two Sonic movies.

Rynxie179d ago

I have the Blu-ray for the first movie. I keep falling asleep and never finish watching it. I passed on the second movie. Since the first is so boring for me.

Garethvk179d ago

Glad I have not made the effort.

Trilithon178d ago

lol.. i put the second one on but i couldn't tell you what happened or how it was because i stopped paying attention after about 2 mins. Apparently Jim carney was in it again though

Pixel Bits | Interview: Sega of America Visionary Bernie Stolar

Bernie Stolar is one of those people in the gaming industry who has been able to bring more than one of the most important platforms ever made to life. He’s a man who not only has a vision, but is unapologetic in his process of bringing those visions to life. Richard Booth of Pixel Bits Gaming News Network had the opportunity to speak to Bernie in a phone interview in which he spoke about many topics including Playstation, Sega Dreamcast and Atari.

Nice read. But an interview from 2016?!

GRelated744d ago

I originally published it on September 9, 2016. I re-branded recently and the link was broken, so I re-published.

The unfortunate thing is that he revealed in detail why he was fired from sega and he first said I could publish it. He called me after speaking to Nakayama and asked me not to.

Cackocacho744d ago

Visionary? XD You mean the guy who single handedly sunk what little momentum the Saturn had left, and pretty much destroyed Sega's console business with his marketing of the Dreamcast? That visionary? LMAO

GRelated744d ago

Imagine if he didn’t push back so hard when Sega of Japan wanted to make the Dreamcast digital only.

SaiyanFury742d ago (Edited 742d ago )

He was also the man who, when he worked at Sony at the time, singlehandedly denied RPGs in the west. It wasn't until he was gone that the rapid influx of RPGs from Japan started flowing onto the original PlayStation.
