The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Character Creation Examples Revealed [Every Race Included]

Bethesda Softworks will be showcasing the character creation sequence of the forthcoming The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim at PAX Prime this weekend, an event taking place in North America, and as such have decided a little generosity to their European fans is appropriate. For those gamers unable to travel across the ocean, the publisher has released a series of screenshots demonstrating the presets available for each race.

I am going to have a freaking malfunction! They need to stop showing Skyrim stuff and just release it or invite me to beta! I need my Elder Scrolls FIX!

Seriously, can’t wait for this game to be released!

Workshyskiver4650d ago

This has the complete collection of races for everyone to peruse: http://www.bethblog.com/ind...

Thanks for posting that! The Argonians sure look badass now.

I'm really liking the look of the Khajiits too.

Overall characters just look MUCH better now. They all look different and look how their race should look.

I've never played an ES game before, but I can't wait to get sucked into Skyrim.

get oblivion on PC, download some mods and get some play time b4 Skyrim, u will like it

superadvanced4649d ago

i wish they would allow you to modify the body type more. all the males and all the females have the exact same body geometry just different textures and a different head.

Zyrusticae4648d ago

Actually, they DO let you modify the body type.

Remember, these are all *presets*. Not only that, but the whole point was to show off faces, and as the bodies are mostly offscreen anyways it'd be largely pointless to try to show that off.

Every Race? Where's the Argonians ones?

MagicAccent4650d ago

The nords mistook them for dragons.

Tainted Gene4649d ago

Haha, no... not the Argonian Maiden.

Clayman4650d ago

Argonian, Breton and Dark elves are missing.

Lirky4650d ago

Surely some are missing since some of them looked aged I was expecting some prettyness instead of old-relic looking ppl but its very interesting.

FragMnTagM4649d ago

Given the time period I doubt too many people looked pretty, lol.

Abriael4650d ago

Check the alt sources for the missing ones :D

eak34650d ago

They have all the presets up on their facebook page. The argonians and dark elves look fantastic. Highelves look like used up ho's however

LightofDarkness4650d ago

Agreed, definitely starting out as a Dunmer again.

Jacks_Medulla4650d ago

I'm Replaying Skyrim (again), and So Should You

Replaying Skyrim after 13 years is a reminder of the progress made in western RPGs over the last decade, but also what's been lost.

anast41d ago

I tried, but it's a poorly made game that insults its customers.

lucian22941d ago

nah, only mods make it decent, and even then it's bad, and this is after i modded for at least 3 years

Nittdarko41d ago

Funnily enough, I'm about to play it for the first time in VR with 1000 mods to make the game playable, as is the Bethesda way

The 7 Best Western RPGs: Immersive Adventures

RPGs are often huge, sprawling endeavours. With limited playtime, we have to choose wisely, so here's the best western RPGs available today.

SimpleSlave41d ago

"I started playing games yesterday" the List... Meh!

How about a few RPGs that deserve some love instead?
1 - Alpha Protocol - Now on GOG
2 - else Heart.Break()
3 - Shadowrun Trilogy
4 - Wasteland 2
5 - UnderRail
6 - Tyranny
7 - Torment: Tides of Numenera

And for a bonus game that flew under the radar:
8 - Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden

Loved Alpha Protocol in all it's glorious jank. Great game.

SimpleSlave41d ago (Edited 41d ago )

Not only glorious jank, but the idea that the story can completely change depending on what you do, or say, or side with, makes it one of the most forward thinking games ever. The amount of story permutation is the equivalent of a Hitman level but in Story Form. And it wasn't just that the story changed, no, it was that you met completely new characters, or missed them, depending on your choices. Made Mass Effect feel static in comparison.

Alpha Protocol was absolutely glorious, indeed. And it was, and still is, more Next Gen than most anything out there these days. In this regard at least.

Pity.
