3DS 3D Classics: One Big Disappointment (Modojo)

Chris Buffa (Modojo): Shortly before the 3DS eShop debuted, Nintendo announced the 3D Classics collection, the company's ambitious endeavor to take old school NES video games and glam them up for the new dual screen handheld with snazzy 3D effects.

idea of 3D classics is awesome.. but why do devs release titles that most of us don't want?

I still wish for those 3D classics:

Super metroid
Spiderman & venom: maximum carnage
Metroid: zero mission
Felix (NES)
Metroid fusion
Comix zone
TMNT: turtles in time
some mario titles (better SNES)

and other great titles.. do I ask too much?

Wiiloveit.com: 3D Classics: Urban Champion - 3DS Download Review

"Have you ever gotten into a petty argument with a close friend and later thought to yourself, "Why were we fighting?" We were all young at one point (if you're not there now) and feeling stupid over past mistakes is just a part of growing up. After all, it's not like we know any better -- at least that's what we tell ourselves later on. Still, life's too short to skip out on good opportunities to create lasting memories just because you're too stubborn to let something die. Much of the conditions described above can also be applied to the purchasing and playing of 3D Classics: Urban Champion. This incredibly rudimentary game confirms that Nintendo went on a dumpster dive to find something worthy of some spruced-up visuals. Any gamer with an eye for just about anything good will know better than to get involved with something designed for anyone living under a rock." -- Wiiloveit.com
