Skyrim playable at Eurogamer Expo

We are excited to announce The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim will be playable at this year's Eurogamer Expo.

This year's bigger-than-ever event will host your first chance to explore Bethesda's huge new Dragon-infested fantasy world. It's the first time the game will be shown to fans anywhere in Europe.

i went a few years ago when it was in my home town of leeds.

shame they dont have it here any more and just stick to london.

amazing expo but very PS3 bias. 90% of games were on PS3's and the rest xbox and PC.

the free t-shirts and pens and all kinda merchandise was cool.

Can't wait for next month :D

Is it me or are there too many video game expos now-a-days??

I think there should be one expo every season, meaning one in summer, fall, winter and spring.

I think if there is too much than people just get overwhelmed and none will be remembered as a great event especially if they are so close to each other.

Different expos take place in different countries. There are multiple expos to give people around the globe a better chance to attend. Not everyone can travel around the world just to see a show.

Can't wait. I'll be there and making a bee line for the Skyrim booth as soon as I'm off the train.

I'm Replaying Skyrim (again), and So Should You

Replaying Skyrim after 13 years is a reminder of the progress made in western RPGs over the last decade, but also what's been lost.

I tried, but it's a poorly made game that insults its customers.

lucian22925d ago

nah, only mods make it decent, and even then it's bad, and this is after i modded for at least 3 years

Funnily enough, I'm about to play it for the first time in VR with 1000 mods to make the game playable, as is the Bethesda way

"I started playing games yesterday" the List... Meh!

How about a few RPGs that deserve some love instead?
1 - Alpha Protocol - Now on GOG
2 - else Heart.Break()
3 - Shadowrun Trilogy
4 - Wasteland 2
5 - UnderRail
6 - Tyranny
7 - Torment: Tides of Numenera

And for a bonus game that flew under the radar:
8 - Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden

Loved Alpha Protocol in all it's glorious jank. Great game.

SimpleSlave25d ago (Edited 25d ago )

Not only glorious jank, but the idea that the story can completely change depending on what you do, or say, or side with, makes it one of the most forward thinking games ever. The amount of story permutation is the equivalent of a Hitman level but in Story Form. And it wasn't just that the story changed, no, it was that you met completely new characters, or missed them, depending on your choices. Made Mass Effect feel static in comparison.

Alpha Protocol was absolutely glorious, indeed. And it was, and still is, more Next Gen than most anything out there these days. In this regard at least.

Pity.
