GGTL: "Before its September 6th release date, we thought it'd be nice to show you a little gameplay from Relic's latest baby. Space Marine is a mix of Dynasty Warriors button-combos with God of War-esque executions along with Arkham Asylum fluidity. It all comes together in a violent concoction that's more than suitable for Warhammer 40,000 fans everywhere. So what are you waiting for? Let us show you how to kill some Orks!"
GamesIndustry.biz writes: "Relic is best known for the Company of Heroes and Dawn of War games, and recently developed the new Age of Empires for Microsoft. Relic will transition to an independent studio and will no-longer be part of the Sega group of studios.
The majority of the 240 job cuts are across Creative Assembly and Sega Europe, while there will be a ‘small number’ cut from Sega HARDLight. There was no mention of other Sega UK studios, including Two Point Studios and Sports Interactive."
Bits & Pieces asks: Releasing in 2011, there's a sequel on the horizon for Warhammer 40,0000: Space Marine. Relic’s third person hacker-shooter is older than the average Twitch chatter – how does it hold up?
Relic Entertainment announced layoffs affecting 121 employees. The company recently released Company of Heroes 3. It is a subsidiary of Sega.
Damn ... Company of Heroes 1 is one of my favorite, if not my fav, RTS of all time ...
This looks all sorts of awesome
Looks like I just may pick this one up!
This game looks awesome.
One thing however, which is quite small but I didn't like how the small bolter gun (one handed goes with chainsaw). handle It should be something that you can quickly target lock with take a couple of shots and keep the melee going.
But it is the demo so who knows.
Wow that totally reminds me of too human the way you use a sword and guns. Also a bit of darksiders.
I've been following this game for a while and I defo don't regret pre-ordering it, looking awesome!
