Activision, IT’S YOUR FAULT!

The time is getting near for the release of Modern Warfare 3. People seem disappointed yet again! I don’t blame Infinity Ward or Treyarch and soon to join the hated list, Sledghammer Games. I Blame Activision! Tactic Zone rant!

I feel this should be in the user-blog section. Another opinion piece.

Sorry [email protected] , there is no hate list for the developers you mentioned. Settle down already!

Unfortunately the author's words will fall on deaf ears of the 9-13 year old boys who are just hyped into buying the game every year.

REALgamer4669d ago (Edited 4669d ago )

This is not news in any way, and is just a pointless rant.

But still, why are so many people willing to pass judgement on games they have not even played? Reminds me of the ridiculous Left 4 Dead 2 'boycott'.

A final note: seriously, ending the article in 'Tactic OUT' is a bit juvenile.

gcolley4669d ago

because we know what to expect and the whole point of the ridicule in the first place... nothing changes. if your last few games have not evolved one bit, gamers will expect the same again, it is just human nature. plus they belong to the military FPS genre, which is over saturated with boring games.

you flat out cannot re-release the same crap over and over again and expect to get away with it. CoD was never that interesting in the first place.

Most of the people who "seem disappointed" are going to buy the game anyway. Those who are genuinely uninterested stopped caring a while back.

If you don't like yearly COD titles, just move on and buy something else. Lord knows there's no shortage of awesome games hitting this year. The fact that other people continue to buy and enjoy the series shouldn't really bother you.

What are they even disappointed with? It looks the same as any other COD game, except unlike Black Ops it should actually be playable.

hazelamy4669d ago

i think you answered your own question there.

"It looks the same as any other COD game"

I feel like I'm buying $60 worth of DLC every year when I buy a CoD game--not to mention $45 of actual DLC. I know it's wrong, but if they updated the graphics, you'd come to realize that the game wouldn't play at 60FPS. I'm glad CoD has been playing inchies with it's graphics--that way I don't have framedrops and console freezes, and I can just play the damn game. I mean, I love BFBC2 for all it brings, but I like CoD for all the stuff it doesn't. I can tell you that next gen we'll see a new CoD game rock our worlds and look beautiful, but until then we're stuck with what our consoles can handle.
I mean, would you rather wait 5 years in between CoD titles so they can look as good as RaGE might look? I'm happy with what CoD's doing, so long as they make sure the game follows the same damn pace and improves upon it's shortcomings every year--especially what made them look cheap *cough cough* BLACK OPS *cough.*

Well said!

I don't understand all the hate? Displeased your favorite game isn't moving forward in the direction you would like, is understandable, but if you don't like it move on. There are other games.

It's like gamers have this pent up anger they have to point it at some company.

NatureOfLogic4669d ago

The best way to get rid of COD, is to no longer talk about it, let it die slowly.

NBT914669d ago

Why? Its a pretty fun game.

Its a rant your right but what he said is true.

Cheat providers for competitive games should be illegal.

Rynxie3d ago (Edited 3d ago )

This is what developers and manufacturers should do. I know going after cheat devices/makers is a cat and mouse game, and cost money. However, they can get that money back by sueing these manufacturers of cheat devices. Take a page from Nintendo's playbook.
