Kung Fu High Impact: Xbox 360 Kinect Preview

Just like the title suggests, Kung Fu High Impact is exactly that – high impact… as in, high impact aerobics. It’s hard not to break a sweat in this kung-fu action extravaganza. Nothing's funnier than watching fools pretending their in a chop saki flick. But the Kinect continues to push to motion control gaming genre to places we all hope it would go. Good review!

This reminds me of Kung Fu Live on the PS Eye. I bought it awhile back for like $15. Pretty neat since you can put yourself in the game. haha It's cool it works with a $40 camera. Both cameras on both systems are doing some cool things regarding augmented reality.

"Fighting is a little strange at first. Since you’re avatar is a video image of yourself, you’ll never actually look directly at your opponents. Instead, you’ll be facing the screen, while your avatar looks right back at you. Although your face is positioned towards the screen, your hands and legs must always move to the left and right to fight. "

What if you put your TV to the side of you and Kinect in front of you. This way your facing your TV but kinect is capturing your movements sideways.

clever, indeed... but what happens when you're attacking foes in the opposite direction of the TV; it would look even wackier, made more funny by an audience

lol..did not think about that.

We are further from virtual reality then we think.
