Full list of Battlefield 3 guns and equipment - anything missing?

Now that the official list of Battlefield 3 weaponry has been confirmed we wanted to know if there are any of your favorite guns missing. At first glance we can't spot anything obvious, but we are sure that some of you will be feeling a little disappointed - leave us a comment to share your views.

ignoring suppressed weapons and melee attacks there isn't anything like a crossbow, tomahawk or throwing knife to take out an enemy using stealth

if you took a crossbow,tomahawk,and a knife to a real war you would get laughed at,then shot with an M16,have a missile drop on you,and then get ran over by a tank

A question for Bf fans are claymores as annoying as they are in cod??

everyone barely used it in BF2. It was like 1 out of 10 chance you ran into one because of size of the maps and people only putting them down in obvious places, so you could shoot them out most of the time.

Kind of depends on how Bf3 implements them. (I didn't mind claymores in CoD4 though due to them having a delay)

Due to the more open environments in BF, they aren't as annoying...
Though every now and then you'll be wandering an open field and get killed by a claymore and go 'FUUUUUUUUUUUU-'

No, because the maps are so big you won't run into them every other second.

Claymores mostly were used as a way to protect a sniper while he had a good position and didn't have to constantly keep checking behind him.

And besides 12 maps on day 1 is more than enough.

It's on disc, it's not DLC to me, you just have to register your game to get them. and okay 13 then, even more reason to not complain.

I believe you will find that the Back To Karkand DLC will not be released with the game so yes, just 9 maps.

The M40A1 is a Remington Model 700 rifle. It's doesn't get much more "proper bolt action" than that.

Sounds like the guy needs to play more Battlefield games. The PP2000 was in Bad Company series already so it isn't anything new. I'm glad the F2000 is back because its my favourite assault rifle in real life but I will the M8. I really wish I knew why production for it in 2005......
