Review: Fruit Ninja Kinect | Nave360

Nave360's Charlie writes:

"For those with, or without a Microsoft Kinect, when people learned about this game, people had mixed thoughts. People thought it was just going to be a rip off of the iOS game, or they thought it was going to be utter terrible, or they didn’t see the point in the game because the game sounded like what it was… There was fruit, you’re a Ninja and you’re using the Kinect.

But then people played the game, and to most people, it was surprising to say the least."

8.5? It's a $10 minigame.

Your point is? If you actually read the review, you'll understand exactly WHY I gave it an 8.5, hence the point of a "review". It's not just a score you know. Oh wait people usually just look on the score and think: BS!

Nice review and the great score. This game has been getting allot of great scores due to the fun factor and how well it controls.

Will be picking this up when I get Kinect in September but was just wondering why this game has not been made for move? The move controller would be perfect for this.

I think Sony need to redesign the look of the move controller. I personally dont find noting wrong with the look but you would be surprised how much kids rag on how it looks and stops them from buying it.

Sony is known for its sexy slick looking products but the move controller looks like it was designed by Elton John.

How can a game this lame get such a high score?

Kran4653d ago

You obviously havent actually played it.

Red4653d ago

I played it and its fun as hell.

@rmedtx888 - Microsoft bung does wonders for any Kinect Crap.

Coming soon... Angry Birds: Kinect!

MischievousIQ4653d ago

It's a $0.99 App with a $10 price tag. This is where it fails for me. YMMV

Micro_Sony4653d ago (Edited 4653d ago )

You do realize that the developers had to spend money and resources to get it on Kinect right? You dont just press a button that says transfer and it automatically does it.

If they sell the game at $1 then they would be losing and be force to shut down.

Edit: The fact that people agreed with you is scary and shows that people have no clue on how to run a business.

MischievousIQ4652d ago (Edited 4652d ago )

The game obviously had to be worked on to work with Kinect. At the same time I'm sure they didn't have to rebuild the game from the ground up.

Sell the game for $1 no but at least charge something more reasonable. Microsoft had to have payed the developers for rights to this game so in the end who is really reaping the profits? I'm sure no-one is going to go hungry if they charged a few dollars less. In fact I bet they'd sell more.

Your right, people here have no clue on how to run a business. The fact that the majority of the people here are kids and young adults should be blatantly obvious. We haven't gotten to business 101 yet. Sorry!

How is it possible to give such a high mark for this ultra mini game ?

Ok, it does only cost ~10$, so ten time the price on iphone... It is already a robery on android market/itunes, so on xbla, it is amazingly expensive.

Gameplay wise, how can you feel so happy and entertained with such limited gameplay and zero feedback ? On tactil device, you can do really precise movesand touch/feel something. Here on kinect, you just swype hands all over the screen, doing air blade moves, and tadaaa... Wow, if you are a 3-5 years old children mind, it can be funny more thant 5 seconds. But even after 5/10 minutes, it is pure crap...

As usual, it is only my POV, and everybody likes whatever they want, but 8.5/10 is obviously a mistake.
