Not sure how this is any different from, say, your average console first-person shooter. Just about everyone online is rude and unforgiving.

I've heard from more than one person that these communities (esp. Newerth) are particularly harsh. I have a friend who plays plenty of XBL, and he says Newerth is way worse than any jerk on Xbox.
