3 Reasons you won't buy Wii U

No good product gives a customer two reasons to not buy it. From what Nintendo's shown us so far, the Wii U gives people three.

I think the Wii U is not going to fail simply because a lot of game developers that has already joined Nintendo's bandwagon don't want Nintendo to fail. That being said, if nintendo fails that means it going to be less competition in the Gaming world; which would means less money for the game developers/computer manufactures. That also apply to Microsoft and Sony as well.

I'd rather spend my money on a PSV or a GTX 570. Seriously though, can anyone tell me what games the WiiU would be worth getting for? Mario Bros? Zelda? Metroid?.....anything else?

Nintendo have some spending money. Even if its not a huge leap in tech from the PS3 or 360 it'll be the most advanced gaming console so devs will want to try it.

You act like three huge franchises for one console is a bad thing.

The WiiU might have about as much power as a PC with an Intel i5 2 Core Processor, 1GB Ram and a 4XXX Series AMD GPU which is old tech. Either way, comparing the next XBOX and Playstation with the WiiU will be the same as comparing the PS3/360 to the current Wii console. The WiiU is a "stop gap measure" until Sony and Microsoft release the hounds.

I think devs will put out games for it... Until ps4 and next xbox come out. I truly believe it won't be supported long after that, if it's even that much to begin with.

I disagree. 3rd party devs get almost no money from Nintendo, people only buy 1st party games for their systems(in general). The devs may not want them to fail, but that doesn't mean they won't.

#2 makes a lot of sense. Idk if 3rd party devs are willing to risk jumping in head first only to get burned like on the Wii

Oh, 3rd party devs do make money.And Lots of it.
Besides, how do you think 3rd party devs stay in business in the first place. They have to pay all of their employees, upgrade their system every several years, advertisement cost has to be fulfilled for each game they make,pay Rent, etc etc.

My point is, Nintendo plays in important role when it comes to competition in the gaming industry;which helps in a big way simply because Sony/M$/Nintendo feed off on each other to keep the gaming market alive. Especially during our economical crisis.And, because of our economy being so bad, companies our going to do what ever it takes to make sure the money is still rolling in.

Truth is, In the gaming industry, the investors wants results and if the 3rd party can't produce results, than they are going to have a harder time staying alive in the market place.

And, of course, I don't think the 3rd party dev our going to let Nintendo fail with out a Fight because it makes money for them, even though Nintendo is the underdog in the gaming industry.

I won't be buying a Wii U because it's not going to have any exclusive games I want to play. Been burned too many times, Nintendo. The only Wii title I regularly play is Monster Hunter Tri. That's not promising.

Even if the screen were indestructible you'd still have trouble. Supporting only one of these controllers per console means that fights will be inevitable when you have more than one kid.

I was excited about both Xenoblade and The Last Story but Ninty doesn't think I'm worth the effort of porting them even though they will be localized for Europe. The one and only reason I needed. Their decision to NOT bring over those games turned me away from buying a Wii, and the fact that they did so despite a pretty big outcry from the public says they don't care about the "hardcore" as much as they say, and that's what the WiiU is supposed to be all about.

Unless I see a steady stream of exclusive content, and I don't mean the usual zelda/mario yearly releases alone, I'm talking a lot of GOOD exclusive content. Only then would I consider getting a Wii U.

I mean why get a new system to play games you can get on x360 or PS3 with the same fidelity or maybe only slightly better, not worth the possible 3-400 dollar investment at all. Multiplatform games will not convince me to get the system.

I buy Nintendo products for the first party games. I dont care about third party games being on it. I dont care about playing online, having achievements or HD graphics. I just want my Nintendo games

2.Pricing, if it exceeds 350 $ I rather save it for the Nextbox or PS4, or spend it in games for the PS3.

3.Third party support, we know Nintendo exclusives will always be there, but I want to play the games other consoles can.

I'm sick of seeing lame articles like this. There has been practically no Wii U news since E3, yet "journalists" continue to extrapolate non-stories about the system to get hits for their site.

Usually these stories are new ways of telling us what we already know. But this one takes it a step further and reads like a message board rant from someone that doesn't like Nintendo. This is why game journalism is such a joke to most people.

what EA have been saying is or should i say peter moore is that next gen u will get 1080p and around DX11 type graphics across all 3 ps4/720/wiiu and graphics ill not differ across the 3 platforms its all about social aspects of the next consoles and EA think what Nintendo have told them they are doing is moving away from typical consoles and is moore in line with sharing and stuff like that.

Creating a strong sense of sharing across networks ect thats what will make the next console stand out as the graphics are at a dead end if u try and just push graphics u will spend twice 3 times as much on very little extra performance the new tablet control with powerful social capabilities will drive the next gen obviously with OpenGl/DX graphics also much improved and i think th WiiU tablet controller is amazing and Nintendo have it Patented yay.

In other words Sony wont be able to make exclusivves that out shine 3rd partys anymore in the graphic department and with Nintendo having all the 3rd party support and there Zeldas and Metroids and Marios ect its looking like Microsoft/Sony have abit of a slim lineup all of a sudden in other words u get the best of both worlds in terms of software on WiiU the best 1st party software in the world and the best 3rd party software in the world on 1 console.

3 Reasons I won't buy a Wii U:

1. Not powerful enough. Too weak, a current gen console is not what I want. I already own a PS3/360.

2. No unified online service.

3. Not a mulimedia player. Blu-Ray should be STANDARD on any TRUE next-gen system. I want to stream my media from my PC, I want to watch HD movies.
