You Don't Realize Just How Crazy November 2011 Will Be

VGW: Alright, alright we get it. November is going to be ridiculous, we’re all going to be broke, and we should probably just spend all our vacation time that we were saving up for the holidays in November. Here’s the thing: you don’t even realize how crazy it will be. You may think you do, but, quite frankly, you don’t.

Let’s put things into perspective here. On one day, November 15th, there will be more AAA titles released than there have been in any entire month up to this point in 2011. That’s just one day! This month is just so stupidly busy. In fact, I would wager that November 2011 will be looked back upon as the greatest month in gaming history. Check out the games below and you’ll begin to understand this mindset.

I do. I have 4 pre-orders all coming out within a week. It's cazy in a great way.

Iroquois_Pliskin4646d ago

MGS HD collection, Skyrim, UC3 and Assassin's creed. Im getting all of them so many gamesss...

jony_dols4645d ago

I think it would sensible for THQ & Sega to delay both Saints Row 3 & Sonic till after the Xmas period.

Otherwise two games that have a lot of potential will get lost among this October & November's backlog of madness!

Genghis4645d ago

half those games will be delayed...old republic in november??? c'mon...

NewMonday4645d ago

Star Wars: The Old Republic
MGS HD collection
Skyrim
Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception
Assassin’s Creed: Revelations

lets not forget what comes before all that:
Battlefield 3
Batman: Arkham City
Gears of War 3

MostJadedGamer4646d ago

Assassin's Creed: Revelations is the only game I am interested in the rest of the year. I am quickly approaching the point where no gmaes will interest me anymore, and I will be forced to just quit gaming.

frjoethesecond4646d ago

At least you comment is consistent with your name.

psman0124645d ago

I have to sort of agree though. Maybe it's just because my interests are slowly changing, but the only game I'm really excited for this year is Skyrim, and it looks absolutely phenomenal. Other than that, Uncharted, Assassins, and the others still look cool, but nothing I'd spend 60 dollars on.

PRHB HYBRiiD4646d ago

I'll be hooked playing BF3 and U3 until november.....of 2012 ;)

nanometric4645d ago

Quite honestly I am happy about that, but the same time I am not. I have Darks Souls on pre-order, then I need to get Skyrim for ps3, after that BF3 for PC obviously, can’t forget MGS too and I still haven’t finished RDR, Valkyrie Chronicles, Uncharted 2, FF-13, GT5 and probably something else I’m forgetting. Yeah, I’m a slow gamer and most of my gaming is now occupied by Team Fortress 2, since it became f2p.
So, in a sense, I’m quite bummed out about that, because it will suck to know how great (hopefully) the games are and have to wait until I will be able to afford them all.

CrescentFang4646d ago

tbh I'm not getting any of these games... on release. Of course these games interest me! haha.
Though that would be different if I had a lot of money!

Sharingan_no_Kakashi4646d ago

Only game I'm definitely getting on that list is Uncharted 3. Possibly MGS Hd collection but doubtful.

stevenhiggster4645d ago (Edited 4645d ago )

Like you I'll probably get most of them if not all. But the only one that I'll be getting day one is Uncharted 3.
I'll probably be too busy playing the games that I bought before November ie, Deus EX: HR, Resistance 3, Battlefield 3, Rage and Bodycount! The whole of the rest of this year is nuts for gaming, not just November!

Ducky4646d ago

... That actually doesn't look that crazy.
I'm only interested in about three of those games... and even then, I can afford to wait depending on how Sept/October go.

SageHonor4646d ago

Exactly the only game im getting is Uncharted 3... Not sure about MGS and i dont know too much about Elder Scrolls ..

Bolts4645d ago (Edited 4645d ago )

Only fools buy every game coming out each year. I have plenty of money and can afford them easily but I'm not idiot. There isn't enough time in a day to be playing all these games. I will buy about 3 or 4 must haves this year, the rest are rentals/used, or waiting on a Steam 50%-70% off sale.

AngelicIceDiamond4646d ago

I realize how crazy November is, my B-day is in that month.... / :

manman64646d ago

Uncharted 3 is the only one for me. November definitely going to be a crazy month for gamers.

Neo Nugget4645d ago

Who's to say what he wants to buy and what he wants to pass on?

I *really* don't think you should be going around calling people fanboys...

manman64645d ago (Edited 4645d ago )

I am not a fanboy. I am just in love with Uncharted. None of the other games interest me. I don't play COD or Battlefield, I not getting Assassin Creed until the price drop like I did with Brotherhood and I was never interested in Skyrim.

Call of Duty Players Disappointed by $80 B.E.A.S.T. Glove Bundle Deal

Recently, players of Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone were met with a new bundle featuring the B.E.A.S.T. Glove, inspired by King Kong's armament in the Godzilla x Kong movie. However, the $80 price tag attached to this themed accessory left many Call of Duty fans feeling underwhelmed.

Morons that allow themselves to be milked continuously by this company is the definition of irony.
Spend more $$ and you'll end up In easier lobbies so you win both ways when ya spend that cash

melons17d ago

Controversy in the COD community feels like it happens within an alternate timeline. Activision will take the piss with something, there will be a momentary fuss about it, and then they will forget about it and carry on anyway. Repeat this cycle literally every year for the rest of time.

Gridknac17d ago

They call that a crack head! Thats what this is really about, its an addiction. People who dont smoke cigarettes look and laugh at the addicts that spend $8-$10 a pack, but they cant help themselves, they are addicted. That same analogy applies perfectly to the whole MT industry. Only an addict that was not thinking clearly would spend this kind of money on something so frivolous. A round of multiplayer provides the same high a person gets from scratching a lotto ticket, or putting money on a sports bet. MT in general need to really be regulated because you have a generation of kids becoming adults who grew up only knowing the MT era of gaming. Its normal to them and they will in turn teach their kids the same by just being a gaming parent and getting their kids involved with them in gaming. Thats why no matter how ridiculous the headlines keep getting out of the MT industry, it never seems to fade or go away.

X-2316d ago

I'm so tired of hearing about what they're doing with this game, its never going to change and it's never going to value the consumer over money, furthermore the people who engage so heavily in the microtransactions I guess allegedly are having a blast and can't wait to do it some more this year when the new version of the game drops.

I'm Replaying Skyrim (again), and So Should You

Replaying Skyrim after 13 years is a reminder of the progress made in western RPGs over the last decade, but also what's been lost.

anast23d ago

I tried, but it's a poorly made game that insults its customers.

lucian22923d ago

nah, only mods make it decent, and even then it's bad, and this is after i modded for at least 3 years

Nittdarko23d ago

Funnily enough, I'm about to play it for the first time in VR with 1000 mods to make the game playable, as is the Bethesda way

The 7 Best Western RPGs: Immersive Adventures

RPGs are often huge, sprawling endeavours. With limited playtime, we have to choose wisely, so here's the best western RPGs available today.

SimpleSlave23d ago

"I started playing games yesterday" the List... Meh!

How about a few RPGs that deserve some love instead?
1 - Alpha Protocol - Now on GOG
2 - else Heart.Break()
3 - Shadowrun Trilogy
4 - Wasteland 2
5 - UnderRail
6 - Tyranny
7 - Torment: Tides of Numenera

And for a bonus game that flew under the radar:
8 - Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden

DustMan23d ago

Loved Alpha Protocol in all it's glorious jank. Great game.

SimpleSlave23d ago (Edited 23d ago )

Not only glorious jank, but the idea that the story can completely change depending on what you do, or say, or side with, makes it one of the most forward thinking games ever. The amount of story permutation is the equivalent of a Hitman level but in Story Form. And it wasn't just that the story changed, no, it was that you met completely new characters, or missed them, depending on your choices. Made Mass Effect feel static in comparison.

Alpha Protocol was absolutely glorious, indeed. And it was, and still is, more Next Gen than most anything out there these days. In this regard at least.

Pity.
