Eurogamer gives 8/10 to Ratchet & Clank PS3

There aren't many game series that can trot out almost the exact same formula six times in a row and get away with it, but Insomniac has managed just that with the Ratchet & Clank games. The secret? By keeping things fresh and interesting by always changing the weapons and gadgets to the point where you don't mind that - to all intents and purposes - it's simply a variation of the other (rather excellent) Ratchet & Clank games.

Unfair IMO but still, Eurogamer has done this before (8/10 to Gears of War, 6/10 to NWN2) so I won't complain much here. Gonna wait for their Assassins review.

Eurogamer are real hard on games... which can be a good thing when they score games 9/10 and above

According to Metacritics (89%) and Gamerankings (89.7%) officially no AAA on or over 90% game anymore and the latest scores once added, will get it down even more.

Will uncharted be the only true AAA exclusive on or over 90% this year on the PS3? Yup, my guessing: 92% to 94%.

Aggregate scores are dumb and should not qualify AAA status. If its not sales, its rankings. If its not rankings, its sales. Truly, the idea of AAA status is so subjective that it sickens me even typing 3 As.

Players decide what is AAA, not reviewers. There is no "official" AAA rating.
