I remember the days of the arcade. I used to love going to my local arcade with only 4 quarters and a bunch of time to kill. Those old school arcade games are coming back in a big way on the PSN through the Minis program. One of those games is HAL 21.
The King of Fighters XIV brings the famed long-running series to the modern era in full 3D brilliantly with lovely visuals. Accessible controls and easy to pull off special moves means anyone can pick up the controller and have a great time. One of the best fighting games I’ve played.
"King of Fighters 14" is coming out this year, and that is something which I've (Nanya, The Gaming Ground) been looking forward to since KOF14´s announcement. So these are my observations, hopes and dreams for KOF14 (plus my personal KOF 14 character wish list).
Got any other favorites? And do you think KOF14 will suck or rock on release? I´m going to give it a try at least.
Really not a KOF expert, but I do think maybe going from sprite based graphics to polygons will slow the game down a bit and maybe also the responsiveness, I myself still prefer the older 2d fighters over the newer 3d styled ones, but I'm also excited about this new KOF and hope they can keep the speed and intensity of the older games intact, I will definitely be keeping an eye on this one ;)
I also heard the roster of characters is going to be huge, so another thing to look forward to.

Same here, it´s been years since I played any KOF title (I´ve been playing mainly Tekken, Street Fighter and Virtua Fighter). True, I heard something about 100-150 characters? (with DLC characters included).
SNK Playmore announced today with a press release the launch of "SNK Entertainment," a wholly owned company dedicated to achieve sustainable growth and to maximize the brand power of the SNK Group.
Seriously! SNK were the fathers to some of the best fighters with awesome background, animations, styles and tons of characters! I cant wait to see what this brings!!!
Did they say over 200 properties, wow that's alot. Anyway hope the rise up successfully.
So... is Hal 21 the planet or the ship... or what? ;)
