Almost all popular sports get the video game treatment, but it’s been a while since a rugby game has seen the light of day. In fact, not since Jonah Lomu Rugby back in 1997 has there been a game to truly do rugby union any justice at all. So it’s no wonder that the game remains a fan favourite, even today. But having recently had the chance to get hands-on with Jonah Lomu Rugby Challenge, all that could be about to change.
VGChartz's Adam Cartwright: "This is the sixth entry in a series of articles I’m writing that will look at all of the games available in a particular genre on the Vita. The articles will highlight all Vita-native games, as well as any backwards-compatible PSP and PS1 titles that can be downloaded in English (i.e. from the EU or NA stores), and will include some commentary on how well those games run on Vita and whether they fill any missing gaps in the library."
Though underwhelming on the whole, Lomu Rugby Challenge has a few solid nuggets worth building on in the future.
Tru Blu Entertainment announced today that Jonah Lomu Rugby Challenge Gold Edition app is now available for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. Developed by Australian Gaming Studio Wicked Witch, the app is the most advanced and feature-packed Rugby app ever made, offering gamers a quick match through to a full featured international competition.
