Kyuiin does not yield the most sound mechanics ever witnessed in a 2D shooter, nor will its cutesy visuals win everyone over, but its unprecedented ideas and accessibility make it more than the sum of its parts.

Okay, great, but what on earth does that have to do with anything? Kyuiin is a game which features a vacuum cleaner in a hugely important role. Released back in 1996 on Japanese PS1s, the game attempted to shake up the popular 2D shooter genre with something new.
It seems that they succeeded as it is probably the only game out there that had characters riding around on a flying vacuum. As creative as that may be, is the game any good?"
