... Capcom just wants to be greedy greedy greedy.

LOGICWINS4659d ago (Edited 4659d ago )

Yup, they want to price them as high as possible individually. Anythg over $15 each is an absolute joke.

BinaryMind4659d ago (Edited 4659d ago )

I did myself a favor and bought a $5 USED copy of Code Veronica for PS2. Take that Capcom!

AntoineDcoolette4659d ago

Um, what do you mean Capcom is doing this to be greedy? The physical copy over in Japan is basically going to cost $50 after exchange rates are taken into account and in USA its going to be $40 total saving the consumer $10 or if the consumer doesn't want both products it will save him/her $30. Seriously, I think you guys are just giving into the recent trend of Capcom bashing and not being open minded about this.

showtimefolks4659d ago

but i was really hoping for move support

so as long as its under 15 i am all for it otherwise there will be enough HD remakes and other great sequels to keep me busy

fall 2011 there is no shortage of games

Quagmire4659d ago (Edited 4659d ago )

(@Capcom)

OBJECTION!

I find a flaw in your statement Capcom. You blamed the Japan Tsunamiquake disatser as a reason you coudnt bring Ultimate MvC3 as DLC, yet here you are presenting digital games as opposed to Retail, for the alleged "reasoning" which is to pass the savings on to your fans/consumers?

Thats the world's biggets contradiction if I ever witnesses one, isnt that right Edgeworth?

Lovable4659d ago

That didn't stop God of War 1 and 2 to be priced at 40 dollars...and me thinks Ico's game would follow the same price, so why couldn't you Capcom?

xPhearR3dx4659d ago

I don't get the big deal. Instead of having to pay $40+ you can only pay $20 and get one title. I have no interest in Code Veronica, so by Capcom going this route, they're saving me money.

MrBeatdown4659d ago (Edited 4659d ago )

The thing is, there is no reason they can't go both routes. If there was a disc version, I could get both games for less than $40 if I look for a sale. Plus, some people just prefer a disc.

And the God of War, Origins, Splinter Cell, Prince of Persia, Sly, and Ico collections suggest Capcom's explanation is a load of crap. Hell, some of those collections contain three games. And Konami is doing three games for $50 with the MGS collection. There is no reason Capcom can't do two for $40 on disc.

dangert124659d ago

So your okay with them lying to the gaming population and potential allowing more room for cruption from publisher - to gamer relationship because you one are okay...you'll feel this come around and bite you in the arse if this is followed often which publishers will cause people will still support this

xPhearR3dx4659d ago

@dangert12

Capcom never lied. They announced an HD collection, they never said for retail release. Beyond Good & Evil got a HD remake and was released as a downloadable title, no one bitched then. Like I said, of course I'm okay with it because it benefits me. I don't want Code Veronica, so by not having to purchase them together I'm saving money.

It's an HD remake FFS, it's not like the next RE game is only digital. Nothing good comes out of any announcements anymore because everyone has to find a reason to bitch. This entire generation has been nothing but bitchy kids who make a fuss over everything. If you don't like it, don't buy it.

radphil4659d ago

Here's my problem with companies like Capcom and Nintendo...this is the 4th rendition of the game being release...

Instead of dealing with more new IPs, it's getting to the point of companies "re-releasing" games in HD, and yet people can just turn around and buy the games for, more than often, 50% less than what they debut at.

DevilishSix4659d ago

Radphil

Actually it's RE4's 5th iteration of the game: gamecube, PS2, PC, Wii, and now an HD remake and all in 5 1/2 short years. What's even worse is each release of this game has been seperated for the other releases.

DarkBlood4659d ago

looks like i wont be buying them and will have to make do with the wii version and ps2 version of code veronica

TrevorPhillips4659d ago (Edited 4659d ago )

As much as I love Capcom and Resident Evil they are really greedy when it comes to cash.

It's all about the money, money, money. We just need your money, money, money, it's all about your cash mann, nothing but your cash mannn

tweet754659d ago (Edited 4659d ago )

they should release an HD collection of every resident evil game for $19.99 anything is a rip off.

The 10 PSVR 2 Games You Should Own

If you're looking for 'must have' PSVR 2 games then look no further. These are the 10 titles every PSVR 2 owner should have in their library.

If you're wanting more PSVR 2 support, you should probably buy all of these games.

Speak with your wallet!

Profchaos41d ago

Bit rich to have to buy games you don't want because you want Sony to support the expensive headset they sold us which cost as much as the console it runs on beyond paying third partys to support it.
Seriously in terms of first party we have horizon on day 1 and a gt 7 vr mode.

They seemingly have made little effort to support it beyond paying Capcom to make re games in VR or a second party studio to make firewall which was mismanaged.

I'm a day 1 psvr2 user and the only thing I'm excited for right now is PC support.

I commented recently this bespoke VR game development model we have right now clearly doesn't work

crazyCoconuts41d ago

On the one hand I feel like there's been plenty of smaller non-AAA games to play and occupy me as a supplement to my flat screen gaming.
But I agree that Sony has done nothing to elevate this beyond the niche it's in and into the mainstream where it would be economical to create AAA games for it.

Babadook741d ago (Edited 41d ago )

Most of these games are worth owning for most people; I own all but 2 of them in fact. So I agree with kevco33. I think you're crazy if you downplay this list quite frankly. Sony can't keep funding software if people don't buy any of it, the ball is squarely in OUR court.

Sony has spent a lot on 3rd party stuff this gen like RE.

phoenixwing41d ago (Edited 41d ago )

Saving up for the headset is my first hurdle. Let alone buying games I don't want lol

mudakoshaka41d ago

People downvoting you for not having enough finances...what a world we live in, haha

phoenixwing41d ago (Edited 41d ago )

@mudako
They feel affronted at the very thought that I don't plunk down 500 immediately lol I have a little over 900 games in my backlog I've been buying games instead of hardware ever since I got my PC and ps5. I just don't know if vr is really for me honestly. Every time I have a couple hundred allocated to video games it makes more sense to buy a bunch of flat games instead of vr ones

mudakoshaka41d ago

I have 9 out of these 10 games. I try to buy all the VR games I like to support the advancement of VR!

TheEroica40d ago (Edited 40d ago )

I spoke with my wallet after watching the first headset get weak support. Easy pass until Sony earns my money. Feel bad for those who parted with 500 bucks, falling for the hype that Sony was actually gonna support this thing.

Neonridr41d ago

I own 7 of these titles off the list, lol.

NotoriousWhiz41d ago

I'm trying to decide if it's worth holding onto my psvr 2. I enjoy what it has currently, but it seems unlikely to get anything else. Might be better off just waiting for something with more support if that ever comes.

Profchaos41d ago

As a fellow psvr2 owner the question seemingly comes down to do you own a PC.

I think I'm all in I have a habit to hold onto my systems anyhow I still have my psvr1 to hell I still have my NES.

But while it's still worth something yeah you could sell it and if Sony turns the ship around you should be able to buy another one for less than you soldmit for I feel like we won't see any fix for the headset for the next 2 years rumours show that Sony has no current first party VR games in active development after they closed London studios

The whole psvr2 situation has left me feeling a little burnt on PlayStation as a whole to be honest. The first psvr felt experimental but it was supported far more than this superior headset

MIDGETonSTILTS1741d ago

GT7 surprised me, because I hate racing games, but i poured 100 hours into it way too quickly.

I’m looking forward to the Metro VR game this year, and I hope that WW2 dogfighter game releases eventually.

talocaca41d ago

I have most of them 😅

Waiting for a sale on Synapse and Arizona Sunshine 2.....also Metro coming this year looks great.

Resident Evil 4 Remake Was Devastated With Bugs A Month Before Launch

The Resident Evil 4 remake's director has revealed in a recent documentary that the game was riddled with bugs in its final month before launch.

Rebel_Scum58d ago

Not a big surprise really. All games are pretty rough until the very end and everything is released with bugs regardless of how the consumer quantifies it as being “polished.”

CrimsonWing6957d ago

That’s sort of how game development or any kind of software development goes. Looking for bugs and debugging, QA, and trying to scramble and polish everything before a deadline’s up.
