Screwjumper, part of THQ's Xbox Live Arcade lineup which caught us off guard a couple weeks ago, is ready to drop onto XBLA November 14.
Screwjumper gameplay involves dropping down a giant mineshaft, defusing bombs and racking up bonuses along the way. The single player mode features four different selectable characters and 20 levels. There's also a two-player offline multiplayer mode and support for four players across Xbox Live.

Currently in open beta, InstantAction is a platform designed by Garage Games that is said to deliver "console quality" videogaming experiences streamed through a standard web browser. For anyone either chained to a desk or if you find yourself in front of a web browser more than your television, InstantAction sounds like a Godsend.
So Destructoid decided to sign up and take InstantAction's available games for a quick spin. While Destructoid don't see it replacing their Xbox 360 any times soon, Garage Games is already delivering some impressive gaming experiences inside a tiny Internet browser.
Visually the game is fun and there's always something going on around you. The game has no real need for super slick state of the art graphics but what they've given is a fun look to the game and made the layouts (be it long vertical tubes) look consistent and smooth.
The most audio you'll hear is some quiet bass music which is drowned out by the explosions of you throwing bombs and ploughing through platforms, luckily, if you really need your tunes, it's Custom Soundtrack compatible.
