I erased my save! Put a big magnet on the game. It worked and didn't mess up the game itself but I am pretty sure that isn't an advisable action for anyone...

EYEamNUMBER14673d ago

what does nintendo have to do with this?
i don't really see what nintendo has to do with capcom and their 1 save for RE

agentxk4673d ago

Super Monkey Ball 3D, Zookeeper and Sims 2 say otherwise.

EYEamNUMBER14673d ago

none of those games are nintendos so again i don't see what this has to do with nintendo or how its their new business practice

this articles main focus is RE mercinaries and its 1 save file something which capcom decided to do

agentxk4673d ago

It is however a feature that is accepted with Nintendo devices. They are allowing it to happen by not stopping it from happening.

blitz0x4673d ago

Well, it certainly didn't help the people considering the 3ds to hear all of the Mercenaries stuff.

EYEamNUMBER14673d ago

do you expect nintendo to dictate what 3rd parties can and cannot do with THEIR own games

they did before years ago and the 3rd parties didn't like that

fact of the matter is this isn't a nintendo business practice when all of nintendo games and 3rd party games it will be but as things are now 2 3DS games using a single save system is NOT a new nintendo practice

gamingdroid4673d ago

Yes, console manufacturers do indeed dictate what third parties can and cannot do on their platform.

They can even stop a game from appearing on the platform.

Do these publishers not get that hurting your consumers to protect your profit don't work. They do it repeatedly, like nasty DRM, online passes and save games. Sooner or later, people will revolt.

Nintendo cancelled Megaman Legends 3. You've heard it here first, folks!

EYEamNUMBER14673d ago (Edited 4673d ago )

as far as im aware nintendo can't stop a 3rd party publisher from using a form of DRM on their own game

besides that my point was nintendo had nothing do with with capcom deciding to use said 1 save file system
that is a FACT

so this being called nintendos new business practice is ridiculous

gamingdroid4673d ago

***as far as im aware nintendo can't stop a 3rd party publisher from using a form of DRM on their own game***

I believe Nintendo can, just like how MS dictates who and how you create accessories especially games. The issue here is, it is soo unusual that I bet Nintendo isn't even aware or maybe don't even care.

***besides that my point was nintendo had nothing do with with capcom deciding to use said 1 save file system
that is a FACT***

Although I agree with you, it is not a fact.

EYEamNUMBER14672d ago

gaming accessories are an entirely different thing from DRM

microsoft stopped 3rd parties so they could corner the market

it is a fact considering only the 1 capcom game uses said 1 file feature
i SERIOUSLY doubt nintendo singled out capcom and made them use 1 save file feature for RE

While i dont like the idea, since i dont see how it would be posible to do this on a console game since they are disc based & not cartridge based i guess i dont really care all that much.

World of Goo has 3 save slots. Why 3??? Ever heard of a the standard family of 4?

Limited save slots need to be banned in all of gaming. It was useful when games just had enough storage to save a few game profiles but it's now obsolete.

Eternal Darkness was way ahead of its time especially for a Nintendo exclusive.

I would love to see a remake or sequel (multiplatform)

Ristul116d ago

When I see Eternal Darkness, I klick!

TheBrainZ115d ago

Not to sound too repetitive but Eternal Darkness all the way!

GaboonViper115d ago

This Feature Makes Lethal Company Scarier Than Resident Evil

Games like Lethal Company end up scary because of their freeform nature, while Resident Evil's polish and storytelling ultimately make them rather tame in comparison. Agree or disagree?
