Go! Gaming Giant: Wii Play: Motion Review

From the review:

"If you don’t already have a Wii MotionPlus controller, don’t feel bad because you’re actually not alone. Surprisingly, quite a few people haven’t hopped on board yet and I myself was a late adopter. For you stragglers, Nintendo has released a sequel to Wii Play, which was a smash hit thanks to its inclusion of a Wii remote. The bundle was a great promotion—and often found to be cheaper than buying a remote by itself—but the actual game was rather disappointing, providing no more than an hour of quality gaming for most people. The new Wii Play: Motion is part of a similar bundle, including the shiny black Wii MotionPlus controller (not just the attachment). The package is once again a great deal and this time, the game is actually quite fun."

This could classify as one of those "too little, too late" scenarios; the Wii Is on it's last leg (in my opinion).

I agree to an extent, but I think it's mostly due to neglect. Nintendo has placed so much focus elsewhere that Wii seems to be getting so little support lately. Perhaps this is their way of convincing people to upgrade to the Wii U when it comes out. "Come on over to Wii U, everybody! This one has games!"

i thought the first Wii Play was a huge let down, this one seems to be only slightly better.

I thought all first party casual titles such as Wii Play, Wii Fitness and Wii music were useless since they're basically Wii Sports but with more mini games. Wario is so much better.

7/10, for a casual game that's pretty good....

7 for a casual game is ok, but seeing as how everyone is now looking forward to the Wii-U (still getting used to the name) i think we're all looking to the future of motion control.

Wiiloveit.com: Wii Play: Motion - Wii Review

"I will never understand Nintendo management. They want to make a sequel to the hit Wii Play, and get more Wii Remote Plus', so they clearly set a team of Nintendo devel-- No. They hire a bunch of Japanese indie developers to compete with one another to create tech demos for the controller, and then bundle them all together on one disc. Wow. I'm gonna review each of the 12 mini-games in Wii Play: Motion, and then discuss the package as a whole!" -- Wiiloveit.com

Family Gamer TV Show Launches

Maybe this is a better way to cover casual games? I like the way the show deals with hardcore games for families and not just Wii waggle party games.

TGH: Wii Motion Plus Review

TGH writes: Nintendo had a good deal of success with its Wii Play controller bundle. Encouraging people to play together (that’s the point of Wii) by packing a controller with a collection of minigames was great marketing, and a good deal for gamers. Now that the Wii’s Motion Plus has been making the rounds for a while, we’ve got another bundle to help ease customers into the new tech. With a dozen new(ish) minigames to be found on the Wii Play Motion disc, there’s something to be had for everyone. There are a few, however, that manage to shine through as universally good games.

This game looked decent but idk. Nintendo has been putting mediocre stuff up for quite a while. Better to wait till the next Mario.
