The Black Panel writes: Although lacking the chills and scares of the first two instalments in the series, this is a solid FPS with great mechanics, a beautifully designed universe and a more than competent online component. The addition of co-op and the ability to play as two different characters is another plus, but when it comes down to it, what is a F.E.A.R game without the fear?

F.E.A.R. 3 wasn't even really a horror game when it came to the campaign. It was a good action game, but lost just about all of its horror roots along the way.
There have plenty of great horror games, but others haven't been so lucky as to stick around. They deserve to get a new lease on life.
That was probably the first time ever that I saw Castlevania in a list of horror games.
