"Pierce Brosnan with Daniel Craig and features a re-vamped story to portray the modern day interpretation of the 007 agent"

Why though, I'm pretty sure Sean Connary leant his likeness and voice to the "From Russia With Love" game in 2006 (Back when EA had the Bond rights), so why can't Pierce Brosnan not lend his likeness to a proper Goldeneye remake instead of replacing him with Daniel Craig....I mean it's not even his film, Pierce Brosnan was the Bond for Goldeneye.

That's what bugged me the most about Goldeneye on Wii, it didn't feel like Goldeneye, they may aswell of just changed the title and called it something differen't.

Bring back Pierce Brosnan, if you can't get him to voice him get Kevin Bayliss or even Maxwell Caulfield who voiced Bond in Nightfire (The 2nd best Bond game)

because this so called remake is NOT a remake its more of a retelling than anything else
the goldeneye name was nothing more than a selling point

it can't be too similar or similar to the original then that would violate the nintendo/microsoft thing and it wouldn't be allowed to be released

you don't think they made the wii goldeneye game so different just for the heck of it do you?

"you don't think they made the wii goldeneye game so different just for the heck of it do you?"

Considering its Activision....yes....yes I do.

"Daniel Craig and features a re-vamped story to portray the modern day interpretation of the 007 agent"

I'm guessing they also did it because of Daniel Craig being another selling point. Instead of respecting the Goldeneye rights, they decided to not just change it because of the Nintendo/Microsoft thing but because Daniel Craig, being the current Bond, people are more likely to buy it.

Microsoft/Sony/Nintendo aside, most people don't seem to think that the game lacks Pierce because he doesn't want to license his likeness. He did leave the franchise on bad terms so it makes sense.

Also think of the game not as a remake of the original game, but another intepration of the source material. Because it does remain fairly true to the spirit of the movie.

Acti and EA's take on Bond have all sucked, give the licence to someone who can make a good game please.

Agent Under Fire, Nightfire and Everythign or Nothing are easily among the best Bond titles.

So no, EA at least knew what they were doing with the franchise at some point.

I guess, Jet packs were fun in AUF's multiplayer as was the Tank/Heli in Nightfire multiplayer.

Freakin' Agent Under Fire was brilliant! Easily the best campaign in the series, as well as the best multi-player, IMO. The Q-Claw made the multi-player SO FUN! Nightfire is up there as well. Everything or Nothing was a new take and I loved it too! It's not like the rest of them and probably even outshines Splinter Cell for me.

I liked Quantum Of Solace. They did a great job with the COD4 engine on that game. Plated great actually. Blood Stone isn't bad and the new Golden Eye on the Wii is actually a lot of fun.

I guess it would be your opinion that they didn't do a good job with the Bond games, I've actually liked them much more then 99% of movie tie in games these days.

People will have really high expectations so it might just be a average game.

Everything or Nothing was easily my favorite Bond title of the last generation.

PixlBit's GoldenEye 007: Reloaded Review

PixlBit | The original Goldeneye on the Nintendo 64 should have been just another movie tie-in game. However, with Rare at the helm, it became one of the most important games in video game history. The fast paced gameplay and incredible multiplayer made it one of the best games of 1997. After being a beloved game for 13 years, Activision (now holder of the James Bond license) released a reimagining of the game for the Nintendo Wii. Now that reimagining is available on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 and the rules are a bit different because of that. Although there are shooters on the Wii, they are absolutely plentiful and then some on the PS3 and 360. So it’s not enough to be a good shooter; you need to be different as well. So does Goldeneye 007 Reloaded stand out from the crowd?
