i don't know why but it reminds me of Bioshock, the pictures has a Ken Levine feel to them

thenickel4669d ago

I feel the same but with a touch of Elder Scrolls added.

Very intrigued about this game. Too bad some of these photos are too blurry to read.

DevilishSix4669d ago

Is it just me or do the scans make the game look mediocre graphics wise?

Iamback4669d ago

who care about graphics?! If gameplay is the king, that's all that matters.

DevilishSix4669d ago

tell us something we don't know. Of course gameplay is king. I was asking if others felt the look of the game is crap.

Pintheshadows4669d ago

It's just the fact they are magazine scans I think. Some of them are very blurry as lastdual mentioned.

ShoryukenII4669d ago

If you save the pictures, you can open the file and zoom in. It gets really pixely and becomes annoying to read but it is better than how it looked at first.

looks ok from where I'm sitting. I've seen plenty worse this gen. I'd say this looks better than FO:NV or dragon age: origins so far.

@Iamback: in answer to your question, I care about graphics. or at least visual design. pure tech power isn't as important as how the assets are used. but the visual aesthetic sets up the whole feel of the game and IS important.

Jocosta4669d ago

The art direction looks fucking silly, this is chalk full of bad ideas. It seems they really really wanted to go with a steampunk look but realize steampunk is not so hot, so they went with a dreary London after midnight meets high tech look. I have the magazine, and have read the article. Still not excited.

lol I believe the expression is "chock-full of..."

TheLastGuardian20104669d ago

you guys are impossible to please. A few screenshots, and your ALREADY writing this one off.

It's a new ip, that seems quite different. I'm happy it's not COD 29, or whatever sequel we constantly get, and it's not a game about some generic bald space marine.

It looks different, it looks unique, I say it has potential.

The Magic of 'Dishonored’s' Blink

It’s a shame, really, that so few games have “borrowed” Dishonored’s Blink – in the right hands, such a power could be game-changing.

It felt kinda cheap to me… both in terms as a tactic, and game design

Abnor_Mal435d ago (Edited 435d ago )

There was a small game called Aragami that “borrowed” the blink, that was a good game.

Unfortunately I heard the sequel wasn’t good so I stayed away from trying it out.

sairenfox2099433d ago

The sequel changed some of the mechanics from the first game but it was still a very polished and enjoyable experience. You should definitely give it a shot sometime. The game's currently on sale on Steam

Abnor_Mal433d ago

Okay thanks for the heads up, will look out for it being on sale one day.

I really did like the first and played it back to back as soon as I finished the first play through.
