This week on DLC-Live Dave, Nachos and Josh take on chills and thrills as they review the third installment of the first-person action horror series, F.3.A.R. Will sibling rivalry have Point Man and Fettel at each others’ throats? The guys break down their hands on with Call of Juarez: The Cartel, discuss id Tech’s tendency to create spectacular engines under the guise of video games and bring up Crysis 2‘s announcement of its software development kit. Plus, as an added bonus to regular listeners there is an advanced sneak peak of the latest Studio 33 video, ‘Guilty Pleasures’.
DualShockers Writes "F.E.A.R. 3 (or F.3.A.R. if you’re a marketing executive) isn’t a great singleplayer game. It’s fine, competent even, but Day One Studios had an unenviable task in trying to wrap up Monolith’s F.E.A.R. series. With two timelines and two highly different styles of horror attempted in its wake, F.E.A.R. 3, well, it tries its best."
F.E.A.R. 3 wasn't even really a horror game when it came to the campaign. It was a good action game, but lost just about all of its horror roots along the way.
Featuring the complete nanosuit experience, The Crysis Trilogy has now joined the EA Access vault as a title that's free for those that subscribe to the EA service on Xbox One consoles.
