In-depth Review: Lucha Fury - Electronic Theatre

Lucha Fury attempts to modernise the traditional scrolling Beat-‘Em-Up in the same fashion as Ubisoft’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time Re-Shelled. However, Ubisoft took the wise step of redrawing a game that has a significant amount of nostalgia attached to it, and then only changing that which they know fans of the original will appreciate. Lucha Fury tries to deliver some new ideas of its own, and most of them simply aren’t as interesting as you might hope.

Marooners' Rock Review: Lucha Fury (XBLA)

Chris W. writes: "Lucha Fury is a good-looking game, and you can tell that Punchers Impact treated the game as a labor of love. Four luchador wrestlers (who are also slackers) come together to stop a shortage of their favorite energy drink only to stumble upon something more sinister; this is no normal shortage. Ancient Gods are stealing the world’s supply of Pollojo, because they don’t think the human race deserves to have it. Quite a silly premise for a story, but is it enough to keep you entertained throughout the game?"
