Same old story regarding this.

I know in my heart that at least The Last Story will be localized (JUST PUT SUBTITLES ON IT, DAMMIT), but the other two may not.

IT'S SO SAD. WE ARE ROBBED OF SUCH EXCELLENCE.

Nitrowolf24694d ago

I hate games released in Only Japan. Is it bad to ask that they just throw in english subtitle?
IDK if the Wii Region Lock, but if it's up to Devs then would it be hard for everyone to just import it then with them supplying Sub/menu in english?
I wish Devs would do that

EYEamNUMBER14694d ago

this wouldn't be happening in the first place if you know people actually bought JRPGS in the west

the only JRPG nintendo even cares about is DQ

oh well though the only one that looks good is last story anyways

qface644693d ago

dragon quest is a more established name it might not be huge in the west but the way nintendo is pushing it dragon ques has been growing in the west

i can't say the same about these as much as i want these games especially last story
lets get real here how many of you guys see xenoblade or pandoras doing good on the wii

new names new JRPGS of all things in the west? i don't see em being a smash hit
i do have hope for last story though

Louis_Guzman4693d ago (Edited 4693d ago )

@ Eyeamnumber1: Once again, Kingdom hearts, FF, Pokemon, Demon's Souls, Lost Odyssey, all sold well enough in the west to warrant release. Hell, the latest DQ on the DS was the best selling DQ in the west so far. Btw, Pokemon and FF outsell any Wrpg and if Capcom would get their head out of their ass and give Monster Hunter some support in the west it could be a massive global hit. Look, I know it's envogue right now to bag on Jrpgs, but lets get the facts straight atleast, k thanks.

EYEamNUMBER14693d ago

what do all of those games besides pokemon have in common? THEY AREN'T NINTENDO GAMES

i have said it many times before nintendo have NOT brought games over simply because they thought it wouldn't make much money they have done it so many times already
why the shock all of a sudden is beyond me

Arksine4693d ago

I don't get Xenoblade. That freaking game was shown at a previous E3 as Monado. Why would you show a game at an American trade show that you have no intention of releasing in America?

Just another slap in the face to the core gamer from Nintendo this gen.

RoboSpiff4694d ago

WTF! Nintendo is acting like a bunch of jerks.

AronDeppert4694d ago

What I don't understand is if they're releasing PAL versions of these games, won't they aready be making them in English?

EYEamNUMBER14694d ago

im sure it has more to do with the fact that europeans seem to buy JRPGS more than north americans

8bit_Nes_Rambo4693d ago

You really are an ignorant kid aren't you?

EYEamNUMBER14693d ago

no are you?
nintendo for countless years have NOT brought over games to NA that they thought would not sell well

yet all of a sudden people are surprised they aren't?
oh yeah im the one being ignorant

Hicken4693d ago

So Nintendo for countless years hasn't brought over games... but that's not what you said.

You said Europeans buy more JRPGS than we do. And... well, I'll just be nice and say no. They don't.

RichterBelmont4693d ago

Way to alienate your fans that grew up with your brand. Now, you're turning them to home-brewing and importing, money you are losing out on. On top of all this, many fans will simply just stop using your brand all together as you don't care about your core fans.

It's getting real hard to cheer on you guys anymore...

Otheros004693d ago

Nintendo just trolled nintendo's USA fans.
I've never seen a AAA game being sold in only one country. This is the first.

qface644693d ago

since when was xenoblade or pandoras tower AAA?

they look like good games but far from the term AAA

Desert Turtle4693d ago

Xenoblade and The Last Story have gotten rave reviews out of Japan. Pandora's Tower not so much, but it's certainly not crap.

qface644693d ago (Edited 4693d ago )

i never said they were crap i just said they are far from AAA games

i have never once heard of anyone refer to zeno and pandoras as AAA ever

Darkfocus4693d ago

Haze got good reviews in japan...that's not saying much...Japanese reviews are literally all over the place...I can't make heads or tails of them...

Michael-Jackson4693d ago (Edited 4693d ago )

Imo they don't look like AAA games.
AAA = Inject lots of Money

The only AAA games on Wii are from Nintendo and their IPs, Mario, Zelda, Donkey Kong and Metroid.

Capt-FuzzyPants4693d ago

Umm The Last Story got great reviews and looks incredible. Plus it was made by Sakaguchi and hes a genius so that might be AAA.

Operation Rainfall: 10 Years On

It has been 10 years since Xenoblade arrived in the US, we look back at how the game almost never showed up if not for a group of dedicated fans.

I wish The Last Story would make a comeback.I played it years before I got around to Xenoblade. Mainly because of the scalping going on because of Xeno's limited run. It took me a few tries to get into it but once I did I couldn't put it down. A Wii hidden gem for sure.

pietro1212759d ago

As much as I love Xenoblade, Last Story was the better game IMO. I wish Nintendo would remaster or simply port the game onto the Switch.

porkChop760d ago

Xenoblade went on to be a really successful franchise too.

pietro1212759d ago

I wish the Last Story get a Switch remaster or remake. That game deserves a second chance
