Nintendo: No plans for Xenoblade, Last Story, Pandora's Tower localization

Nintendo of America's official Twitter account has issued a statement regarding the localization of Xenoblade, The Last Story, and Pandora's Tower.

I know in my heart that at least The Last Story will be localized (JUST PUT SUBTITLES ON IT, DAMMIT), but the other two may not.

I hate games released in Only Japan. Is it bad to ask that they just throw in english subtitle?
IDK if the Wii Region Lock, but if it's up to Devs then would it be hard for everyone to just import it then with them supplying Sub/menu in english?

dragon quest is a more established name it might not be huge in the west but the way nintendo is pushing it dragon ques has been growing in the west

i can't say the same about these as much as i want these games especially last story
lets get real here how many of you guys see xenoblade or pandoras doing good on the wii

new names new JRPGS of all things in the west? i don't see em being a smash hit

@ Eyeamnumber1: Once again, Kingdom hearts, FF, Pokemon, Demon's Souls, Lost Odyssey, all sold well enough in the west to warrant release. Hell, the latest DQ on the DS was the best selling DQ in the west so far. Btw, Pokemon and FF outsell any Wrpg and if Capcom would get their head out of their ass and give Monster Hunter some support in the west it could be a massive global hit. Look, I know it's envogue right now to bag on Jrpgs, but lets get the facts straight atleast, k thanks.

Way to alienate your fans that grew up with your brand. Now, you're turning them to home-brewing and importing, money you are losing out on. On top of all this, many fans will simply just stop using your brand all together as you don't care about your core fans.

Xenoblade and The Last Story have gotten rave reviews out of Japan. Pandora's Tower not so much, but it's certainly not crap.

The only AAA games on Wii are from Nintendo and their IPs, Mario, Zelda, Donkey Kong and Metroid.

Same here. I like how Nintendo is encouraging people to mod their products by region locking. Oh well. I hacked mine up long ago just for this kind of situation. Now I just need to master the Japanese language....

Reggie is such a hypocrite. He complains about company's like Ubisoft or EA not bringing games like Dead Space(the real kind) or Assassin's Creed to Wii, but he doesn't publish those big Nintendo games in America. If he really wants to win the hardcore crowd, he can start by making a show of good faith!!!! Winning the hearts of gamers is not an easy task. Gamers need to know that they will be supported. But it's like he is doing everything he can to alienate us! No Fatal Frame 4, Disaster Day of Crisis, Pikmin 2(New Play Control), Xenoblade, Last Story, or Pandora's Tower???? Come on man!!!

I'd like to import Xenoblade from Europe, but the PAL games always look crummy on NTSC systems because of the resolution difference.

Doesn't effect me as I live in the UK, so will be getting Xenoblade in September, and Last Story next year. But, how Nintendo can be so adamant the core gamers will adopt Wii-U, yet they treat core gamers like shit, is beyond me.

They know they're not popular with core games right now, yet they refuse to localize a couple of games for them? They've made more money from DS and Wii this gen than Sony and MS combined. They have no damn excuse.
