That's a shame.

I'm looking forward to El Shaddai , I really enjoyed the demo, the art style is amazing!

Psychonaughty4693d ago

Played it on my US profile, trust me it's horrible, combat has potential but the platforming of which there is alot is truly awful and the art style may be nice but technically the gfx are last gen.

Minartis4693d ago

Really, the platforming seemed just fine to me.

It's been getting good reviews also.

'In what may be received as a bit of bad news'

Of course it's bad news! People have lost their jobs & investors have probably lost a lot of their money.

I don't understand how it could be perceived as good news?!

The combat didn't grab me in any major way at first, but once I realized what different button timings did with different weapons, it grabbed me in a very good way.

The platforming just requires some very accurate maneuvers. Also, some of the weapons have different jump assists, meaning you have to approach things differently each time you have a new weapon.

Not sure if serious....

I imported the game, and it's really one of the best games I've played this year. I really agree with Eurogamers 9/10 score. Really sums up the whole game completely.

Also how can the graphics be last gen, when it looks like this?

I just got El Shaddai as it happens.

Some of the platforming is a bit iffy, but the visuals and audio are sweet, and the combat is pretty challenging.

thereapersson4693d ago

Haha man, what's up with your user name?

Knushwood Butt4692d ago

Supposed to be Kushnood Butt but I can't spell and already changed my username before so there it is..

There are many game developers I wish this would happen to but not Igintion. Way to handicap a boxer before a fight.

El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron HD Remaster (NS) Review | VGChartz

VGChartz's Evan Norris: "Presenting El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron to a new audience and preserving it for future generations is a great thing, especially considering its cult status. Whether that audience will enjoy it is another matter entirely. Due to its cryptic storytelling, repetitive combat, and clumsy platforming, it doesn't quite escape the orbit of mediocrity. Still, there's a lot to admire, including exciting boss battles, impressive production design, and powerful music. If nothing else, it's an ambitious game with a singular vision. And that's something to celebrate."
