Uncharted clone Vs Uncharted 3 Screenshot Comparison

Saudi Arabian developer Semaphore is making a new title, but it’s not any “new” title, it’s a game which looks suspiciously similar to the PS3 exclusive Uncharted series. So much so that it’s called Uncharted: Trail of Ibn Battuta. One look at the gameplay video and screenshots released for the game, and you will instantly realize that it looks like or atleast tries to be a clone of the popular PS3 exclusive series.

Yeah, the aiming looks atrocious. I still don't know why when you aim the gun the cross hair is well below the gun. Looks really out of place and I won't even get into the character animations.

@Killer - I see your point, but this game doesn't even look average, it looks horrible...I doubt it'll have a good story and I am not saying that because a 'scarfed woman' is behind the game (although it's probably a man behind it, you know...Saudi, not exactly known for equality). Why I have little doubt in the story is because there is blatant rip-off and then there's this. I mean a lot of game's borrow/steal mechanics, style, story elements from other games but we've seen how badly this sort of copying leads to...Quantum Theory for example, which shows of a lack of imagination being the key issue.

I hope not, I really hope not. I actually love the fact that the woman is wearing a burka because it's really a statement that she can be adventurous within her culture and not look like a "Westernized" woman. It's not hate as much as it is rank ridicule due to the unbelief that every Uncharted element has a counterpart in this game. Drake (down to the look and hang of the gun), Sully, and Elena.

The rest is forgivable, as looking for stuff is the core of many games so there is no such thing as copying in that regard.

Actually I think they are, yes; halo and killzone element are copies of older shooting games in respect to it's core elements: but it's not the core of the gaming that anyone has a problem with, it's the elements within the game in terms of characters and looks people are having a problem with.

But atleast this small dev team with limited resources are trying to increase the awareness of gaming in their country. So kudos to them even though a imitation but hope this dev team grows and makes better games with experience.

I understand there's a relationship between Lara and Nate but to say ND did the same to CD is totally wrong. There's inspired by and looking to your predecessors which ND have done and then there's attempted theft, which this is.

As for the whole TR/Uncharted thing-the balance of the first Uncharted was a lot more TPS than ANY TR game before or since and there's definitely room for Nate and the newly rebooted(looking amazing) Lara. Unearthed? Not so much.
