Gamer's Corner writes; "Let's be honest, most people that play COD look at the leaderboard and see themselves at postion 345,687, if they play hard for a week they may climb to 298,736 - pointless really isn't it? Dust 514 aims to change that and give you a real reason to fight for a planet's sovereignty. Winning a ground battle will really mean something longterm in the EVE galaxy."
CCP Games has unveiled an ambitious roadmap for their sci-fi MMO EVE Online in 2024, headlined by the massive Equinox expansion set to launch on June 11th.
Alex from The Nerd Stash: "CCP Games' latest expansion for EVE Online, Havoc, is off to a flying start following its release earlier this month, the developer has confirmed."
Some thoughts from the developers on various aspects of the new EVE Online Havoc expansion and more.
I am defintely looking forward to this game.
Hopefully it'll have a strong community on the PS3.
there's always risk when doing something new in this industry. and damned us all.. we keep getting question marks in the title of articles. SMH.
Is that the actual missions/tasks given to you would most definitely be the powerful players of EVE Online. And trust me, if they really want things done, they would make sure incentives are handsomely given. Unfortunately, the majority of gamers are unaware to the potential this game would bring.
Secondly, by linking up with the most persistent game ever created, the people you're working for could be annihilated or betray you leaving you jobless forcing you to go rogue or change factions. This is far from the everyday based shooter where only your rank increases.
On the other hand, it would be a massive ego-boost for EVE players knowing they've got "console" players in the palm of their hands.

I'm very interested, but doing anything interesting and new with an FPS is risky. People apparently like to buy the same game every year. Innovation is bad and change is something to be feared, if you go by sales. The answer to the title's question is both.
Pioneering.
