Let's Cheer for Kinect

is the new game coming from Take-Two's 2K Play label. The publisher just announced the new Xbox-exclusive, motion-controlled game Let's Cheer!, designed to simulate the "entertainment, rivalry, fitness, precise moves, jumps and impressive routines" of the sport of cheerleading. It'll be out this holiday.

and this is what makes xbox fanboys think kinect is awesome, i have yet to see any legitimate game from ms even get me to take a second look at kinect, now the hacks that people are doing with kinect are sweet...its soo sad that MS pretends they dont exist and push dance, excersice, and BS shovelware games on to people all the while screaming at the top of their lungs how awesome its supposed to be...

Its like they aren't even trying to make worthwhile games for everyone. Its just casual crap to try and get money.

MS should have a better quality filter and only have Kinect games released if they are sure that they will be quality. I think they are kjust allowing anything so they can say in the next game show that they have "X amount of Kinect games on the market".

I think I might buy this game day one just because of the association with Kirsten Dunst, even though she probably has nothing to do with the game.

Its obviously a game for females. Most of them feel the same way about our shooters. This is a good move, as the fitness and dance games are attracting a lot of females to Kinect.

So which cheer Leading team were you on? I don't know how old you are son, but you parents should have told you this by now: Women and men are NOT the same. Sorry you had to learn this on the internet. Little girls prefer Barbie and little boys will 99:100 go for G.I. Joe. Girls have diffent tastes in entertainment than boys, some things do overlay a bit, but this is the mostly the case. If you thing men and women are the same, then that on you. I can just tell you you are completely wrong. They are equal mentally but both have different strengths and weaknesses, not to mention physical make ups which make them very different. Trust me on this one ok?

This game is aim at young girls. Some of the older ones will get into it as a fitness routine. I am sure that is the thinking of the developers. Their are some gamer girls out there who play core games. They are a very tiny group. Just like their are women who are body builders and some who dress and act like men. I have many little girls in my family, and I know they will play this game.

My wife LOVES Zumba Fitness and Dance Central and when she was a young girl, she wanted to be a cheerleader and then became one in high school. You're pretty ignorant if you don't think young girls who want to get into cheer leading wouldn't like to play these types of games...actually, how would you know what girls like or don't like? God help us all....we went from iconic classics like Castlevania and Ogre Battle to "Let's Cheer"....

My beloved and once pure gaming industry has finally sold out. I don't give a crap what anyone is going to say about "profiting from different demographics" or whatever business logic you want to give.

It used to be about making the best game you could with the limits of the hardware given and it was a matter of pride when your studio released their latest masterpiece.

And here comes the shitty Kinect shovel ware. Hopefully the clueless casuals learned enough from Wii shovel ware to avoid games like this. If they don't sale they will stop being made. Seriously, we need to start a non-profit group to educate the casuals about the perils of crappy games from greedy crap developers.
