E3 2011: Zelda Wii U Gameplay Clip

See the power of the Wii U.

Uncharted3Goty4735d ago

Looks great it will Deliever for sure.

NatureOfLogic4735d ago

If this came out today, I would go buy a Wii U today.

MaxXAttaxX4735d ago (Edited 4735d ago )

No HUD and cutscene-like camera angles? Overall, it looks more like a video shown for presentation purposes only.

Target render maybe?

Warprincess1164735d ago

I don't know. I seen graphics like that in numerous PS3 and 360 titles.

Theyellowflash304735d ago

Yeah but if this was on PS3 it would be running in 30FPS Im pretty sure the next zelda game will be at 60FPS.

SilentNegotiator4735d ago (Edited 4735d ago )

@yellow

Based on........what?

Their "specs" include "multi-core CPU".......and not much else related to power.

socomnick4735d ago

1080p at 60 fps and this was just a quick rush job.

imagine epic what they could do.

TheBlackSmoke4735d ago

This is simply a tech demo. They haven't even finished skyward sword yet. This is exactly what they did with those fake gamecube zelda videos and then the actual game(windwaker) was nothing like it (cell shaded).

SilentNegotiator4735d ago

It's already known to not be an actual game. It's CONCEPTUAL.

So after all the work on SS sword combat, they want us to go back to buttons...

Uncharted3Goty4735d ago

maybe there is a way to change that well have to wait and see.

L6RD7BLU34735d ago

I'm pretty sure they'll be different styles of play

meganick4735d ago

It's been confirmed that Wii controllers will work on Wii U, so maybe there will be an option to play this with a Wii motion plus controller.

GunofthePatriots4735d ago

its not a real game! just a tech demo.
just like ff7's tech demo for ps3.

ALFAxD_CENTAURO4735d ago

It looks like a CGI video, like the Bird video.

Darkfocus4735d ago

lol wut? the bird video looks nowhere near cgi...the only impressive part was the fluid animation the graphics weren't good at all....

Studio-YaMi4735d ago

What makes us so sure that this isn't a gameplay cut scene ?
it doesn't say that it's gameplay footage,it just slapped in the trailer with no indication that it's ingame, even if it is ingame (I am pretty sure the WiiU can do it) it's a cut scene probably, not someone playing.

We still have to wait and see more reveals for the new Nintendo console before passing judgment if it will be a success or not, considering that we have XBOX720 and PS4 on the way (maybe 1 or 2 years more).

matey4735d ago

thats all in game its what the trailer is 4 to show u the hardware and it blows anything out there even on pc out the water so ill tell u know its in game gameplay try reading articles people have confirmed its gameplay the baseball looks real

theonlylolking4735d ago

Uncharted 3, battlebield 3, resistance 3, metro last light, etc... all graphically look better than this zelda tech demo. I do have to hand it to nintendo, they have a great art team.

Studio-YaMi4735d ago (Edited 4735d ago )

"and it blows anything out there even on pc out the water"
just because of this stupid claim,I know you're nothing but a fanboy and wont take your comments seriously about the ingame footage, better than anything you saw on PC ? are you sane in your head ??

Zelda Replay: Majora's Mask

VGChartz's Evan Norris: "Is Ocarina of Time as legendary as I remembered it? For the most part, yes. In spite of a handful of missteps — a few obtuse puzzles, some tedious backtracking, and a clunky stealth sequence — I don't believe the last 23 years have been unkind to it. Ocarina remains a brilliant example of the medium, a landmark game that shaped the future of its own franchise and 3D gaming in general. After more than two decades it retains its inventive dungeon design, challenging puzzles, dynamic combat, wistful storyline, unforgettable music, and empowering open-air freedom. I feel confident calling it one of the greatest games of the fifth generation, even if I'm no longer prepared to list it among the five best games ever made."

Pure unadulterated fun. They don't make them like this anymore...especially not the triple A industry.

FinalFantasyFanatic25d ago

Back when video rental was a thing, I rented out Majoria's Mask, I never finished it though. I did buy the 3DS version before the eshop shutdown, so maybe one day I'll finally play through the whole thing, it's amazing how well these games hold up though. I briefly played Ocarina of Time for a while and it was really fun.
