GamePro: Terraria Review

GamePro: "Terraria would be easy to either embrace or dismiss as just a 2D Minecraft clone, but that'd probably be unfair to both. Where Minecraft is first and foremost a sandbox toy and medium for building elaborate structures, sculptures, and mechanisms, its more game-like elements--like fighting monsters and acquiring loot-- sometimes feel almost like an afterthought. Terraria, on the other hand, inverts these priorities.

While it's rewarding to build structures and even megaprojects (one guy recently recreated World 1-1 from Mario Bros.) the game's greatest strength is its satisfying combat, variety of enemies and items, and its sense of progression and empowerment. They're two exceptional games that branch off from the same common trunk."

Great game except the constant barrage of slimes gets annoying when you're trying to mine and build.

That and skeletons. You can at least keep slimes from falling on you buy placing wooden steps but there is no way to keep away skeletons away except by putting in a ton of doors which gets annoying after awhile...

if you make a mineshaft straight down and have shafts coming sideways from it and you put doors right on the edge of the main shaft, you won't get mobs falling on your head.

Such an awesome game, and only 6 megs!

This is not what I would call value for money spent. They give you quests in liveservice games to get you "re-engaged" with the monetization schemes or to get you hooked or so you at least spend some extra on skins and loot boxes. Then they dole out paltry points after you have already paid extra for whichever liveservice within a liveservice that you are already paying for. My worry is people can't actually be that stupid to fall for this, can they?

Absolutely nothing in this comment makes sense. At all.

anast663d ago (Edited 663d ago )

How does it not make sense? O thy god of reason, shine some evidence upon us. Ryse of Rome, ESO,and AC: Origins are all live service games, between them you can get 275 points. Liveservice games are made to keep people spending. Therefore, Gamepass is a live service and the points are for playing live service games.

It is not my problem that this does not make sense to you, it is absolutely your problem. I mean it is all your problem.
