"It's genuinely difficult to think of a more solid title on the Playstation 3. The entire package, from presentation to graphics to gameplay is near perfect. My only complaint would be the fact that it's somewhat short (I'd estimate it took me around 10 hours) and very easy. Dying doesn't have any real negative consequences at all, as you'll retain all the bolts and experience points you had when you died. It's a small annoyance, but Bioshock proved that a game can still be great even if dying isn't much to be feared. Don't let the somewhat "kiddy" look of the graphics deter you from experiencing one of the best games on the system – Tools of Destruction is excellent. "

i wonder how much brain power it took him to type rachet and clank is not tripple AAA FOUR times. well what a waste of a comment. so even with the mistake METACRITICS made, this game averages above 90. and im just waiting for xplay now AND XPLAY'S REVIEWS COUNTS AS 100/100 IF IT GETS 5 OUT OF 5 STARS WHICH WILL PUT THE AVERAGE TO LIKE A 94. POOR POOR PADRE. LOL (96 if metacritics fixes there mistake)

THINK!!! Would you rather plaay R-FOM over this game? Or even Motorstorm? Or do you think this game is really that much better?

It's a cute childs game that's too easy to play, however it does look good in a cartoonish way.

If I had a kid I'd want this game on the Wii for them to play, just not for me.

When has games turned into this manifestation on whether you are a man or a kid? This game is rated E for everyone, just like mario, and just like Banjo Kazzoie. Gears of War, and RFOM are shooters, and are in a different genre. If you played any games from 2 generations ago, or before you would know that games are meant to be fun, and regardless of the letter on the box art, anyone can enjoy it.

This game is an AAA game, regardless of what letter on the box it has.

Im all about the FPS, and with HAze and UT3 potentially being delayed, it looks like it'll be 1 dusty PS3 this holiday. Ill probably get it out for Uncharted, but Ratchet and Clank isn't really a reason for me to justify the PS3 IMO. However, Killzone 2 should be, and MGS4, Uncharted, UT3, and HAze all should be.

I played Kameo and loved it so am sure Racket and Clank would be very enjoyable experience. I did play this with my niece as she is into kiddish games but this would be a similar vein. Family fun. I reckon Microsoft have done the right thing by supporting all tastes and the PS3 is playing catchup but they really should include the backwards compatibility update for all PS3s. That to me is a strong point with MS. I loved Panzer Dragoon but the update needs to be updated, I can play all the first four levels. That to me is more important as we are all gamers and we all love to play the games we like. I think people should stop bashing each others consoles and start bashing the developers for not making the most out of each platform. Its starting to get like the PC games market, I have and Alienware machine that makes me coffee and I can sleep with it... where as others have lower machines which don't treat me as well. Developers for PC games otimize for different specs, why don't they do that with Xbox and PS3 games. I liked the way Bioshock allowed optimum frame rates. That to me made it all the better experience.

Back to the topic in hand, congrats to all PS3 owners who got Racket and Clank as it looks amazing and I really hope future xbox platforms will give me as much enjoyment as you. Enjoy playing the game as if I had an unlimited bank account I would do the same.

Whatever the platform I think this generation we are all getting greatly improved experiences and in my opinion, developers are taking risks with concepts that are really starting to pay off.

I am a Chewbacca from Dublin but live in Australia. Ha ha! One thing that does bother me is that Games here are very expensive, especially when the dollar is doing so well!

I play me DS more than anything else at the moment, platform games rule on Nintendos handheld and after I got Halo 3(Which I haven't played yet because I forgot the story and started playing the other two first), I am after Contra DS. That will seriously chew up my time. I am still an 80 year old in Brain traing, ha ha! I think my Dublin accent confuses the DS too. Maybe Sony, MS & Nintendo should join forces some day and pool share their resources, isn't that what most industry alliances do, and become extremely more competitive and profitable in doing so.

Imaging a King of Fighters style game with Mario, Master Cheif, Sonic and kronos from God of War fighting it out. That way all the name calling can be played online and for real entertainment value! So when someone calls me a Xbot or a Bill gates tea-bagger I can retaliate and call the a PS3-tard or a Nintendophile! That way we can all have a laugh, this could even make great tv with the childlock for Adult and Kiddish matches.

I think I sould paitent this idea... but it could never happen without a coprorate orgy on MS/Sony/Nintendo executives but wouldn't it be fun!?! Bring on the melting pot of video games!
